Re: O'Connor Field House remodel and alcohol sales at
O'Connor
As per our last meeting held on June 7, 1995, I would like to make
the following two recommendations from the Community Services
Board.
1) We would recommend that $22,000 be budgeted from the
city's contingency fund to pay for architectural/engineering services.
These services would consist of schematic design, design
development, construction documents, bidding assistance and
construction administration assistance for the project of remodeling
toilets and a storage addition at O'Connor.
Please see the letter attached to Mr. Steve Hodge for more
information.
2) We would recommend that you pass policy limiting the sale of
alcohol at O'Connor Field House only at sporting events or when
minors are not present. It is our understanding that this falls in line
with state law.
We have been made aware of instanees, as I am sure you have
been too, where alcohol has been purchased by adults and then given
to minors.
Thank you for your consideration of these matters.
Respectfully,
Chuck Ward

Remodel Toilets/Storage Addition
CSHQA Project No. 93036
Dear Steve:
This is in response to your request for an estimated fee proposal relative to our firm providing
architectural/engineering services for the referenced project.
It is our understanding that we are to provide basic architectural/engineering services consisting
of schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding assistance, and
construction administration assistance for the project.
We understand that the facility concept is to be similar to our plan sketches dated Apri19, 1993.
Further, the project documents are to be completed and ready for bidding and construction by
the fall of 1995.
We propose to provide the outlined services for an estimated fee of $22,000. The fee is
exclusive of reimbursable expenses for reproducibles, postage, travel expenses, surveying and
geotechnical services.
If this praposal is acceptable to you, please advise, and we will proceed with the necessary
agreement and services. We have the manpower and capability to meet your time tables.
Thank you for this opportunity to be of service to you. We are most interested in assisting you
with our services and are looking forward to working with you on the completion of this project.
Sincerely,
CSHQA Architects/Planners
