HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-17-1996 SENIOR MINUTES � CALDWELL SENIOR CITIZEN £iff7�:RD MEETING ' JUNE 17,I996 The meeting was called to order at 9:3I by the chairman Lauren Stevens.All members were present with the exception of Beryl Kingsbury. The secretarys report was read and approved. The treasurers report was read and approved. There was a disscussion of the heating and air conditioner and the office cooler which is not working. The co-ordinators report was given.The following bills were presented. Piano Tuning-----------------$6G�m0�J T.V. Repair------------------$69.46 White Glove------------------$300.00 Higers-Drain plug------------$233.84 A motion was made byRuby and seconded by Doris to pay the bi1ls.Passed. The nutrition report was given by Dot Blessing. There were I8I5 meals served with 64 of them to non seniors. The average donation was . $ I.99.02. There was a bid of $855.00 submitted by White Glove to strip and wax the floors. This will be considered and decided upon later. Kenny reported that he had applied for a grant from Idaho Power to help with the repair of the treadmill.He said it would cost $1500.00 for a new one. The kitchen band was discussed but no desision was made.It was also decided to have no time limit on the programs except for speakers. Dot is to talk to Verna about this. Discussed getting some extra help in the kitchen while Colleen is on vacation. Lauren read a letter from the Governor who informed us we could contract direct with Weiser and by-pass Emmett.It was was decided to stay with the current program � for now. In.Re. to changing to the board being in control of all activities at the center This will be discussed further at a later date. Re. Bonus-Cook and Dot. Lauren suggestec:'$ I000.00 to be given at Christmas each year with $ 500.00 for the cooks assistent. We are to bring suggestion of ways to raise extra funds for the center to be discussed at the July meeting. A motion for adjournment was made by Clarence and seconded by Harvey. Meeting adjourned.
