Caldwell Senior Citizen's Center Commission
. Meeting of March 21, 1995
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Lauren Stevens at 9:30 A. M.
The first order of business was a discussion about the condition of the
kitchen. There have been complaints about too much seasoning, too much
mayonaise, cook not working her full hours, dirty kitchen and using paper
products for desserts, instead of our small dishes. We will meet with the
cook,tell her that she is the boss in the kitchen and needs to delegate the
work that needs to be done to maintain a clean kitchen. A list should be
made to identify all the things that need to be done. Beryl Kingsbury made
a motion and it was seconded by Jim Taylor that Dot would handle this and
it was approved by all. This meeting will be Tuesday marr�ng at 9:30.
The treasurer's report was submitted, see attached. Motion was made by
Lauren Stevens and seconded by Marjorie Weber to approve this report and it
tivas approved by all. The minutes of the previous board meeting were read
and approved.
Dot gave her nutrition report, see attached copy. 1923 senior meals and
50 non-senior meals were served averaging $2.04. Bills presented were
$300 for cleaning; $1,861.39 for Associated Business Products; and $75.00
for Beryl Kingsbury. A motion was made by Marie Fullbright and seconded
by Emory Ireland to pay these bills and was approved by all.
Dot requested door closures for the store room and kitchen doors to prevent
them from standing open. A motion was made by Arba Hager and seconded by
Marie Fullbright to buy and install these and was approved by all. This
expense will be taken out of the main account. Styrofoam cups and coffee
servers will be provided for the pool players. We discussed disposing of
the old organ and Arba Hager will look into taking it for the Sand Hollow
church.
Flowers will need to be purchased for the front yard. Dot will make the
necessary purchases and Loren and Arlene Stevens will help set them. We
need new soap dispensers for the rest rooms and a new cement ash tray.
To take advantage of our nice waiting room, it was suggested that the senior
bus pick up passengers at the side door.
Emory suggested that we bring in the cook and helpers on Monday to clean
the kitchen.
No further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:50 AM.
