� SENIOR CITTZEN BOARD
REGULAR MEETING----January 11, 1999
Meeting called to order at 9:30 am by Chairman Dallas Dillon.
Members present: Dallas Dillon, Virginia Figueredo, Gwen Barney,
Vada Givens, Bob Trunnell, Rick Scherer, Howard Smith, Elvin
Rothell. Coordinator, Ingrid Rose. Also present Jerry and
Margaret Langan, and Ruby Arbaugh.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Comments from those present: Jerry Langan presented a letter
from Mayor Nancolus stating that Jerry and Margaret Langan
will represent the City Council this year and Ruby Arbaugh is
their alternate. We weicome them to join us this year.
Vada Givens: Motion to approve the printed docket including
additions: change meeting date due to natianal holiday, approve
a Vice Chairman, and nominate a replacement for Ray Keck who
has resigned,Sec. Gwen Barney/ Unanimous.
OLD BUSIN�SS:
Hispanic Attendance: the group has been attending about once
a month.
EOA Lease: Caldwell Mayor and City Attorney are reviewing at
this time.
Glass Doors--Dropped at this time.
Facility Inspection---After a brief discussion of the two bids
Gwen Barney made a motion that the board accept the General
Fire bid of $922.50 Sec. Howard Smith. Unanimous
NEW BUSINESS:
Providing a Meal on Monday---Bob Trunnell--Motian that this
matter be taken ta the seniors to see how many people would
come and eat on Monday. Sec. Gwen Barney / Unanimous
Ingrid Rose, Coardinator/brought a number of concerns of hers
before the board. Most of these items were concerns to be taken
to Nutrition./ A nutrition board is to.be appointed soon and
they do this two months at a time.
Meeting date for February has been changed to Monday, February
8, 1999.
Letter of resignation was read from Ray Keck as of December,
1998.and accepted.
VICE CHAIRMAN TO BE ELECTED: Vada Givens---Motion to nominate
Rick Scherer as Vice Chairman for 1999 Vote was unanimous.
Howard Smith will keep the keys as he is easier to get ahold
of most days.
Member to replace Ray Keck on the board.
Gwen Barney nominated Mae Huston. The board was unanimous in
voting for Mae.
Ingrid brought up the question of prices for renting the building
to groups. $SO for 50 or less. $100 for more up to over 100.
Also to charge a deposit refundable aftter checking premises
