Members present: Dallas Dillon, Rick Scherer, Virginia Figueredo,: Gwen Barney, Vada Givens, Bob Trunnell, Howard Smith, Mae Anna Huston, Jerry and Margaret Langan(City council Rep.) , Ruby Arbaugh, and Ingrid Rose(Coordinator). Guests: Debbie Denardi and Jim who presented Bingo. Gwen Barney---Motion for approval of the written dockets. Sec. Bob Trunnell. Unanimous. No outstanding bills JOB OF OPENING AND CLOSING CENTER: Howard Smith feels that this job was worth a pay raise. Others agreed. Vada Givens ---Motion to pay $10O a month for locking and ' unlocking the Center. Sec. Virginia Figueredo. Unanimous. COORDINATORS REPORT: She introduced Jim who talked with us about '_ sponsoring BINGO as a moneymaker at the Center. 20� of proceeds goes totlie nonprofit organization, 15�to the Bingo people, 65�to players and $100 for the license. The Lottery Commission controls ;� the whole operation. The board members are concerned about `;'; these things:these people smoke (this is a no smoking building), janitorial cleanup. Tabled, to be discussed later. -,a, Bonnie reported on the cleanup of the walkin. Nutrition will pay for cost of the cleaning. In one place the floor may meed some repair--Jerry will check it out and the city will decide if they will help. Health Dep't will be back too. THERE WAS NO REPORT FROM INGRED. Debbie Denardi said Thanks for the new dishwasher.And told us some of the things coming up. Gwen Barney said that some time soon, the board would be using the present office for classes and other activities for the Seniors. The present office would be moved to the room on the other side of the front entrance. OLD BUSINESS: Dishwasher--around $7500--Plumber and electrician are coming to install. NEW BUSINESS: Vada Givens brought up the issue of passing the yellow cup in the dining room. Why is it being passed again? Debbie, Ingrid, and the board all agreed --No more yellow ' cup.Instead, the Board would have a box in the foyer and the �, Nutri'tion would have a can in the,,kitchen area. It would be �: announced that people could choose where their contribution '' goes.
