MARCH 20, 2000
Meeting called to order by Chairperson Dennis Dillon at 9:35 a.m.,
followed by the salute to the flag. Roll call revealed 10 members
present and 1 absent (Marie Pilote who was excUsed).
Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed. Motion by Archie Gulley
and seconded by Glenn Ward that minutes be accepted as presented.

Motion by Glenn Ward and seconded by Elvin Rothell that treasurer's
repert be accepted. Motion carried.
Nutrition report by Ingrid Rose. She stated that there is a need for '
new muffin pans, at least six and preferably Teflon type. The pans on
hand are rusting and are no longer usable. There was a brief discussion
as to how the pans would be paid for. Gwen Barney said that the cost be
absorbed from Friday Bingo monies. Ingrid stated that attendance has
been better lately. The motorcycle group that used the facilities
last weekend left.everything in excellent condition. Finances in
nutrition have been picking up and they are almost caught up on their
bills.
There has been no definite response from C.C.O.A. regarding their
knowledge of the availability of a"handy man" who would be available
to do various fix-up jobs at the Senior Center.
Marie Pilote has been unable to contact any City Officer to "pin them
down" as to the responsibility of the City. Suggestion was made that
some one from the Board contact L.J.Waite, who is City Finance Direc-
tor.
Glenn Ward said that he would be willing to do minor "chores" in and
around the Senior Center as needed.
I Yen Averill spoke of the EOA (Elderly Opportunity Agency). Attempts
have been made and will be made to cut support to Senior Centers. He
encourages as many as can (the more the better) to attend the Area III
meetings. The next meeting will be held at Parma. The coordinators and
cooks receive paid vacations through EDA, and it is up to each senior
center to furnish replacements for them while they are on vacation.
Various fund raising events were discussed. Suggestion was made that a
committee be appointed to pursue avenues of fund raisers.
Nina Vaughn, Glenn Ward , Archie Gulley, and.Marie Wiley volunteered
to serve on this committee. Two more people from the senior center will
