call of officers.
Slalce Vavv�er, liaison with CCOA was introduced.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and a correction of September 18, 2008 was noted fo�r the Health
Fair. Moved to adopt by Vincent Sanchez. Seconded �.nd CARRIEb.
Moved by V incent Sanchez to approve the Treasurer's report coniingent upon the investigation of the
D.A.'lr.'s payments. Seconded and CARRIED.
Jo Anne F'ondren moved that the Coordinator's report be approved, Seconded and CARRlED.
Mo11y Van Cleave moved that the Bingo Report be approved. Seconded and CARRIED. It was moved by
Linda. Waner that the Friday bingo be permitted to use the "new" bingo cards. Seconded and CARRIE]�.
ICenny Averill wi1� dispose of the other cat�ds.
No Bills presented.
Blake Vawter reported an open house for CCOA is set for Novomber 14, 2008
�Cenny Averill presented a repork from EOA, touching on the need to cultivate the Medicare program for
home delivered meals and tlie increase ofboarding's in Ltansport�tion due to the cost of fuel.
AREA ]TI meeting on September 11 he�'e at the Center was discussed with the need of table leaders and
set eip on Wednesday. Also mentioned was the use of foodstamp cards for congregate meals. The pool
room will be asked to close by 9:30 on that Thursday.
October 3, 2008 is set fo� Casina Night helci at ti�ie Center for Arts buildi�ng (5�' and Everett) The Center
will manage the Bingo portion of the event. Larxy McVay, Paige McM.ichael & Olga Gonzales will he)p.
The Manual on Procedures was dis�ibuted.
1 he C of C Ambassadors lunch wili be held ber� at the Cent�r on October 7, 2008 with entertainment
prior to lunch.
Nig]at Light parade is set for December 6, 2008 with the overall theme of" Christmas Through a Cl�iid's
Eyes". The Center will enter with a ca-theme of "Memories of Grand.parents"
Health Fair is September ] 8, 2008 �x'om 9:00 A_M till 2:00 P,M. Set up wili be Wednesday P,M.
Bob Sobba, City Council liaison, reported that $5,000.00 was appropriated for kitchen equipment
improvement, available after October l, 2008.
The Bingo fiznds of $6,000.00 will be divided between the Board General Fund and the Nutritior�
Program.
