THE CALDWELL SENIOR CENTER BOARD MEETING FEBRUARY 8, 2010
President Ramona Whitney called the meeting to arder at 1:00 p.m. with the pledge of
Allegiance to the flag.
Those members in attendance were Ramona Whitney, Olga Gonzalez, Jeri Rhodes, JoAnne
Fondren, Linda Waner, Eugene Schoecher, Erma Jones, & Paige Mc Michael
Olga Gonzalez moved that the minutes be approved. Gene seconded, the minutes were approved
All minutes are to be posted on the bulletin boazd in the center's lobby. A copy is to be sent to
Susan in the Mayor's office.
The treasures report was discussed, Moved to approve by Linda, seconded by Olga, and
approved by all
The nutrition report was reviewed. The cost of ineals has gone down from last month. There
was some discussion about rota.ting of the food, so we stop throwing out so much. Paige stated
that some of the Sheriffs people would be coming over to do that. Moved for approval by Gene,
seconded by Linda, approved by a11
It is time for the Bingo split. $4,000 to the Nutrition prograrri, $4 to the Board account. Gene
moved we do the spiit, Jeri seconded, a11 approved.
CCOA wili have an ACTIVE LIFE EXPO on May 12. There was some discussion about
getting a booth,
OLD Business: Jeri will participation in employee evaluations
Our copy machine is shot. We decided to rent one for a month, giving us time to locate a good
quality one.
Gene and Paige have been going over our handbook. We spent several hours reviewing needed
changes. We completed everything except the Tuesday night Bingo. Bingo committee will
review it. When a11 of the changes have been made; we will make it available to members, and
the city.
The e�aust fans and fire extinguishers are in need of inspection, cleaning and service. Gene
moved we hire the company Paige has Iocated, Olga seconded, a11 approve. The cost was about
$70.00
Meeting was adjoumed at about 330.
