President Ramona Whitney called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. with the pledge of Allegiance to the flag.
Those members in attendance were Ramona Whitney, Olga Gonzalez, Jeri Rhodes, JoAnne Fondren, Linda
Waner, Eugene Schoecher, Erma Jones, Bob Sobba & Paige Mc Michael_
Susan Cooper was our guest, and brought us information, and asked for our input for an upcoming event for
our seniors. CCOA will sponsor a Senior walk and pet show on May 27, 2010 at 10.00. It will take place at
the park across the street from the center, followed by lunch at the center. It was a lively discussion, and we
worked through some our concerns.
Minutes from last month were discussed. Gene moved that the minutes be approved. Linda seconded, all
approved.
The treasures report was discussed, Olga moved to approve, Jeri seconded, approved by all.
The Coordinators report was discussed. The nutrition program is in need of a new printer. We went over
several possibilities. We chose a Brother for 694.00 plus ta�c. JoAnne moved we approve the purchase, Gene
seconded, approved by all. Erma moved to approve report, Olga seconded, all approved.
Bingo Report given and discussed. The concession money will have it's own Bank account.
Donna moved to approve, Gene seconded, a11 approved.
EOA report discussed. Canyon County has only 1 representa.tive to Area Agency.
We will seek to find some new people to represent us.
Bills presented, $ 192.00 for Fire Safety of Idaho. We had to replace parts of some of our fire extinguishers,
and completely replace 2. They serviced our over the range suppression system and suggested
a heavy cieaning was needed. Advanced Hood cleaning is a company who can do a serious job of it. Bill for
Budget Electric for damage caused from power surge of $ 192.00 The City and Idaho Power both advised that
it was our responsibility. Gene presented receipts totaling $36.68 for cabinet locks and chair buttons. JoAnne
moved that we pay our bills and hire Advanced Hood cleaning. Linda seconded, a11 approved.
OLD Business: Jeri participated in employee evaluations, with Paige. Some new recommendations were made
with regards to the milk. The procedures are already in place. Jeri had high praise for the work Ga1a does.
CCOA will have an ACTIVE LIFE EXPO on May 12. There was some discussion about getting a booth.
$40.00 Entrance fee approved.
New Business: A proposai was presented for Square dancing at the center on Wednesday nights. There was
much discussion. The rent will be $ 75.00 a month. JoAnne moved we accept the proposal. Linda Waner
seconded and approved by a11
Donations made in memory of Jim Squibb for $ 120 will go to nutrition. Moved by Erma, Seconded by Gene,
approved by a11.
Meetin was adjourned at about 3:00.
