Caldwell Senior Center Upgrades
In Attendance;
Ramona Whitney, Gene Schacher, Bob Soba, Jeri Rhodes, Paige McMichnel, Helen
Ebo,Velva Sweat, Pctt Engle, Qebbie Geier and , Krista Cole
MeQls on Wheels, Senior Center Board, Sage, City of Cc►Idwell.
Senior Citizen group want to update the kitchen this must be complete by March

Grant is 150,Q00 1Q%is �dmin leaving 135,000 to be used.

cnpitccl plan may require us to pick the most important and valuable chnnge to the
center.
As for the matching money for the gront money we will be uble to use any previous
improvement to the center 1 year prior and 1 yeur current_ We have been approved
ta use the upgrades fram last year to use as part of the match for the grant we are
npplying for.
Any improvements that the city does to the building will nlso go townrd the grant
match. - Redid the landscape and parking lot and irrigation lighting. Bob will get a
list of improvements that have been done to the building nnd repart bnck with the
dollar amount.
Show a61 community service even the use of the jail inmates.
Pat needs someone to work with her to develop n Capitnl Pfnn of things that we
would like to have completed nnd things that have been completed. Gene will get u
Inundry list of 41) such items. Paige has a copy of what this looks (ike.
Meals on Wheels would benefit both themselves and the Nutrition Services if they
could hnve Menl on Wheels provided here.
This would hnve to be discussed nt the Menls On Wheels Bonrd. It would not hnve
to be completed all ut once but could be done in stages.
All bonrds would need to meet to discuss the options and concerns regarding future
activities.
The Senior Center will contuct the Library board to discuss thc►t in the future we
would (ike to join with them to possibly to make use of the new kitchen to benefit
them and us.
Sub Recipient agreement. City is the official grantee but ull construction would
come directly from the Senior Center.
The pro ject must be contracted out by an nrchitect to draw the plans and a cost.
An urchitect will be needed on site when doing the project.
The grant money can be used for this but it will require a RFP in order to do this.

Preliminary design nnd completing. PQt will get un RFP and get that paperwork.
The grunt money cnnnot pay for the preliminary design.
Senior Center may have to pay upward of $3000 far the architect. This would need
to be approved by the board at our meeting.
Bob will get the Criticnlness and Urgency of Problems fitled aut.

Preforms.
