Senior Center Board Meeting Nov 14, 2011

Ermn Jones called the meeting to order nt 1:05 with the Pledge of Alleginnce to the Flag.
In attendance:
Gene Schaecher, �onna Crockett, Linda Waner, Russ Weihe, Ramona Whitney,
Kelly Warwick, Forrest Smotherman, Donna Queen, Erma Jones, Bob Soba,
Michelle Gamble and Jeri Rhodes.

The legend for the bills will be as follows:

N= Nutrition
N$10.58 True Value for Pndlock and latch to lock the cabinet.
N$87.95 Home Depot for Ethernet to secure the network.
N$950.00 Bailey and Compnny for the 990's for taxes. This will be split between the Bonrd
and Nutrition.
N$ 150.00 Quest for the internet and phone line to be set up.
N$ 24.37 True Value for u keyed lock box.
N$ 96.61 Hy-Ko crystal for janitorial supplies
The Board will pay their portion of the Bailey nnd Compnny bill.

The would like to mnke some changes to the Chilli Feed to have more people nttend
Parmn is going to get a new roof on their center.

Gene did talk to the janitor and he is no longer employed here.
EOA will take over the hiring of the future janitor.
Elections for Board Members nre coming up.
Bingo Board paid for the sign. Superior Sign made the sign.
Teri will check with Nampa High to see,if they have nnyone would be interested' in a project
#or their senior project.

Needs to be proof read to mnke sure it is correct. Gene went thru the first draft and made
his corrections. Michelle will review the manuul for corrections as well.
Copier monthly cost vs, rental:
Will keep the copier that we have for now ns there is not enough saving to warrant a new
one.
Shiba gnve a check to cover the cost of the internet and cost of the copies. Gene will give
the dollar amount of the check later. The amount of the check is $2000.00. It has been
deposited.
Fire Extinguishers
Gene is working on this. Still working on.
New Business;
Motion was made to provide a credit card with a capped amount so that purchases can be
made in the event of emergency. Motion made to have Donna and Gnyla each have a card for
purchases in cnse of an emergency.

All lock boxes are locked and kept in the office.
It was discussed that all monies need to be under lock and key. This will protect everyone.
Bank account name is being corrected to reflect the correct name for tax purposes. The
name will be Cnldwell Senior Citizens Inc.
5 CD's in the bank need to be updnted to reflect current people at the center. The names
will be as follows: Gene Schc►echer, Erma Jones and Donna Crockett.

Ramona made a motion to buy new phones for the Center. With the cost being no more than
60.00

Ramona made a motion to purchase name tags for all paid employees, digitnl thermometers
and hair nets.

Meals on wheel will pay 1/3 of the cost of the internet.
Ramonn made ca motion for a mileage Log: Donna Queen has created n mileage log to track
this. Donna will track thisand the Board will reimburse her .40 cents a mile
