Senior Center Board Meeting Jnn 9 2012
Erma Jones called the meeting to order at 1:08 with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
In nttendance:
6ene Schaecher, Donna Crockett, Russ Weihe, Forrest Smotherman, Donna
Queen, Erma Jones, Delpha Leake, Billie Copeland, Michelle 6amble and Jeri

Gene mnde n motion to npprove the minutes ns rend: With the following corrections.
Gene was not in attendance for the meeting of Dec. 12,2011.
Kelly Wnrwick should not be listed under the Not in ottendance as she was no longer on the
board nt that time.

Last line of paragraph on page 2 should have an Q after the word hnving.

Care Givers Workshop will be here Jnn 11, 2012.
EOA hns specinl training on Jan 18 2012 9:00 to 3:30 and have requested to have Patty her
assistant nnd any Bonrd member that would like to come.
Donnn Q. hns been given access to the City of Cnldwell Website so she cnn pince informntion
regarding the Senior Center on the website.
2 Large donations were mnde to the Center of $1000.00 ench.
Roster wns tnken off the desk and has been pinced in Patty's possession to keep updnted.
Hours of operation: Currently are 7:30 to 2:00.
Delpha made a motion to discuss with the city a plan for securing the pool room separate
from the Senior Center. This is a safety issue thnt needs to be addressed.

Janitor: Donna Q. will work with EOA on getting the janitor hired.

Gene made a motion to buy take out containers and set n fee of $5 for the meal. The
container will be purchased in the office and the cook will be responsible for filling them.

New meal tickets have been created.
Accepting memberships for the new year. There will be a master list created ulong with a
laminnted card for the member.
Credit Cards are stilling being worked on for ponnn Q. by Gene 5.

Donnn C. made n motion to give a Christmns bonus of $100 to Gayln, $50 to Surina and $100
to Donna Q.

Donnn C. made a motion to hnve a Bingo Split. $4000 to Nutrition and $4000 to the Senior
Center Bonrd.
