The meeting was called to order by Rudi Lotz at 12:OSPM.
Members present: Rudi Lotz, Garianne Goslin, Debbie Geyer, Shirley Alsup, Dave Williams,
George Decker, Mary Ann & Frank Smith
Presentation: Rudi Lotz presented a card and gift certificate to Debbie Geyer as an expression of
the FOD's appreciation for her hard work and dedication to the Depot.
Agenda: A motion to approve the Agenda as amended was made by Debbie Geyer and seconded
by Dave Williams. The motion passed unanimously.
Minutes: A motion to approve the Minutes from August was made by Shirley Alsup and
seconded by Mary Ann Smith. The motion passed unanimously.
Finance Report: Debbie Geyer reported that the current balance which was $8,860.78 and that
there was about $4,000 left in the contingency fund. She will check with Jim Blacker to be sure
that this is carried over into the new fiscal year. Dave Williams moved to approve the financials
as presented. Shirley Alsup seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Deferred Items:
The refrigerator cabinet and donation box have been delayed until October.
Old Business:
Plaza Banner Alternatives:
This project is pending.
School Education Tours:
Debbie Geyer shared the flyer that was designed by Alex Hernandez that will be sent to
the schools with a cover letter. Rudi reported that the Cub Scout tour went well but that
the kids seemed bored at times. They really enjoyed the train, typewriter and the
Operation Lifesaver presentation. Debbie Geyer will bring in an old typewriter and
Garianne Goslin suggested that blank "Telegrams" be provided for kids to type on.
Rudi Lotz also reported that a private school is interested in a safety course but that he
will suggest that it be held at the Depot and include a tour. He also suggested that others
also participate in giving the tours as he is unable to attend them all.
Marketing Tools:
Debbie Geyer presented a draft version of a promotional placard designed by Alex
Hernandez. Ms. Hernandez hopes to have this finished very soon. These will be
distributed to local hotels, restaurants and the Chamber of Commerce.

New Business:
Website:
George Decker was introduced and provided information on creating a website for the
FOD. Debbie Geyer moved to have him host the site at $15 per month and create the site
for $500. Dave Williams seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Garianne
Goslin will work with Mr. Decker to get the site developed.
Indian Creek Festival:
Debbie Geyer will open the Depot up the morning of the festival. Shirley Alsup will man
it from 12:30 — 5:30. Others are invited to assist.
Executive Committee & Committee at Large:
There was no discussion on this item and it was deferred to the next meeting.
Other Business:
Members discussed ordering new merchandise for the gift shop before the holidays. All agreed.
The Depot will be open for the Winter Wonderland on November 20 Details will be discussed
at the next meeting.
Adjourned:
Mary Ann Smith moved to adjourn the meeting at 1:OOPM. The motion was seconded by Shirley
Alsup and passed unanimously.
