Minutes
The meeting was called to order by Garianne Goslin at 6:48PM.
Members Present: Garianne Goslin, Debbie Geyer, Scott Pemble, Marvin Dennis

MOVED/D. Geyer, SECONDED by/S. Pemble to approve the minutes of July 14, 2011 as presented. Motion
approved.
�"i��nce Repc�r#:
Debbie Geyer reported that the balance as per the General Ledger Trial Balance Detail is $13,748.91. Latest
addition to invoice: cabinetry tatal up�xade amount was $4320 to Hibbard. An invoice has not been
received from AIM electric, but their bid was $1,208.
MOVED/D. Geyer SECONDED by/S. Pemble to approve the financial report as presented with expenditures
for the kitchenette and lighting. Motion approved.
Old Business:
Reports:
Locks of Love/Caldwell Senior Center: Garianne Goslin reported that the Locks of love benefit
goal met with 1,075 donated to the Caldwell Senior Center Nutrition Program.
Canyon County Fair Display: Debbie Geyer and Garianne Goslin arranged to display the Interpretive
Center Korean uniform at the Canyon County Fair. The display won a first place ribbon and more.
Members were invited to have a look. A display for next year should be considered.
Security Update: Exterior lighting has been installed and extinguishers have been checked.
City Council approved next fiscal year's budget for security system for Depot. Plans include
installing motion detection security system. Further details not available.
Furnace Repair Update: Furnace repair is in the next fiscal year's budget to fix crack. All
budget items can be addressed following the beginning of the new fiscal year on October 1 St
FOD Trip: Depot Trips to Weiser and/or Glens Ferry planned far October or November. The
Sumpter trip moved to spring of next year, probably in June.
New Business:
Bylaws — Meetings:
Proposal to change meeting dates to quarterly: considering how expenditures are the meetings main
role, it was suggested the new quarterly meetings take more of a social role while the more frequent
functions be given to subcommittees. An email will be sent to members to get a consensus and
brought to committee for a vote at the next meeting.

• ' Ie�ho Heritage Trust Tour:
Garianne Goslin and Debbie Geyer gave a tour to the Idaho Heritage Trust board. The Depot
received a$2,500 grant from them to reglaze the windows. The tour went very well.
Depot Clean-up:
The Interpretive Center and basement are in desperate need of cleaning. The basement was
vandalized with paint dumped on the floors and the door damaged beyond repair. The door has been
replaced but needs painted. It was suggested that the Job's Daughters clean the Depot in exchange for
rental fee for an event they wish to hold.

and vandalism in exchange for the rental fee of $300 for their October dance event. Motion
appr�v�d.
Other Items for Discussion:
Water leak in basement: There is a leak in the basement that is damaging the drywall to the storage
r��. The w��er heater is suspec�ed.
MOVED/M. Dennis SECONDED by/S. Pemble to hire someone ta look at the leak and fix it.
Motion approved
Winter Wonderland: Winter Wonderland Navember 18`". Garianne Goslin is heading up the Depot
specific activities. SMRC volunteers suggested. Debbie Geyer is looking into COSSA (Culinary
School in Wilder} providing cookies at the expense of the Winter Wonderland group. In Depot
entertainment from 5-9 pm ideas included: Barbershop quartet, Annie Bethancourt, Colby Meade,
Grandma Kelsey. The FOD will also look to borrow "guide ropes" from O'Connor to help with flow
of people and space.
