Board Meeting
Minutes for the October 10, 2002 Meeting
Present: Ann Day, Leona Manke, Pat Papapietro, Lou Roehr, Jack Teraberry and Elaine Leppert
The meeting was opened at 7:05 p.m. Teraberry moved and Papapietro seconded that we pay the
bills of $52,923.61.
Leppert reported that the relationship with the bookkeeper was ended but he will prepare the
materials for audit. Leppert explained that the plan will be to pursue on-line systems like
Springbrook and that with that program she would be able to assume the bookkeeping
responsibilities. Board members expressed a concern that she should not be asked to take on the
additional responsibility.
Because of new information about what constitutes a normal workweek for PERSI, an evaluation
of employee status was completed. Two employees, because of the circulation desk assignments
• on the weekends are exceeding the normal workweek. They are now entered into PERSI.
The request from Canyon/Owyhee Financial Literacy Coalition to charge $15 for a series of
workshops to be held in the community was moved by Manke and seconded by Roehr.
It was also moved (Papapietro) and seconded (Teraberry) to replace the heating and cooling
motor pump assembly.
The meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Leona Manke
