CALDWELL PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MEETING
August 2, 2001
The monthly meeting of the Caldwell Public Library Board was held August 2, 2001 in
the Idaho Room of the library. The meeting was called to order by Chair Pat Papapietro.
Those present were Jack Teraberry, Lou Roehr, Leona Manke and Library Director,
Elaine Leppert
Minutes of the July meeting were approved as written. (MSC Roehr/Teraberry)
Bills in the amount of $43,344.64 were approved for payment. (MSC Teraberry/Manke)
Elaine updated the board on the SILC proposal. The LYNX! Directors have agreed to
continue looking at joining but not commitrnent has been made, information gathering
• continues.
Elaine reported that Tia Stallones; public relations clerk has resigned. T'here is no
immediate plan to replace her. Her daily tasks have been distributed among the rest of
the staff. There will be a rethinking of the position before we will attempt to rehire.
Looking at Internet filters continues.
The 2" draft of the 2001-2002 budget was approved (MSC Teraberry/Manke)
The Friends of the Library's Ice Cream Social will be held Thursday August 9.
