4) REPORT FROM RON WREST
• Ron showed a letter that he had received from the City Attorney, Mark Hilty, regarding the
problems ofi the number three hole at Fairview. The letter said "as long as the City does not
expose surrounding properties to unreasonable risk it should have reliable defenses to a
nuisance action."
A discussion was held about the problems of errant golf balls on ha{es 2, 3, and 4 at
Fairview. It was decided to continue play at the status quo and keep playing the holes just
as they are. If in the future we can come up with the funds for more fencing we will do that.
Ron said that they have taken out the white rock in the planters at Purple Sage and planted
140Q bulbs. 200 bulbs were planted at Fairview. These should be very pretty next spring.
The fail leaves have been picked up. They are beginning their winter work.
Ron said he was disappointed in the fact that some golfers had not accepted the frost delay
poticy. He said some people had been abusive to him and his workers over this policy.
Another problem has been the policy that golfers cauld only start on holes one and ten.
Some people have not been willing to abide by this poiicy. They star# on one or ten and
then go wherever they want to.
Caaper to{d Ran that the Caldwell Golfers are proud of the way the courses have been
