Cooper said that at the July 17t� board meeting the fee scheduie was passed and the schedule is attached to this report. Lenny asked if they included the tax. The schedule does not include the sales #ax. John said that people would soon begin to buy new tickets for Christmas presents. . � � Cooper told the board that there would not be a meeting in December unless something . comes up that requires cailing one. 2) REPORT FRQM JOHN WATSON John read a letter from Darwin Simmons saying that he was injured and was unable to play most o# the year. The board decided to give him 50% credit on nex# year's ticket. Jeff Osgood said that we need to come up with a uniform policy on season ticket refunds. Cooper said that we have been using a case by case method for deciding on adjustments. Osgaad said we need to have a firm policy. Cooper appointed Jeff Osgood, Dan Roweli, Elvin Simpson and Loraine Navis to bring a report on a new policy to the January meeting. 3) REPORT FROM LENNY STROUP Lenny said he was running ahead. He is 9% ahead for the year. He said the nice weather has helped bring out the goifers. A discussion was held about the fee schedule. Cooper read the fee schedule to the board. 4) REPORT FROM RON WREST • Ron showed a letter that he had received from the City Attorney, Mark Hilty, regarding the problems ofi the number three hole at Fairview. The letter said "as long as the City does not expose surrounding properties to unreasonable risk it should have reliable defenses to a nuisance action." A discussion was held about the problems of errant golf balls on ha{es 2, 3, and 4 at Fairview. It was decided to continue play at the status quo and keep playing the holes just as they are. If in the future we can come up with the funds for more fencing we will do that. Ron said that they have taken out the white rock in the planters at Purple Sage and planted 140Q bulbs. 200 bulbs were planted at Fairview. These should be very pretty next spring. The fail leaves have been picked up. They are beginning their winter work. Ron said he was disappointed in the fact that some golfers had not accepted the frost delay poticy. He said some people had been abusive to him and his workers over this policy. Another problem has been the policy that golfers cauld only start on holes one and ten. Some people have not been willing to abide by this poiicy. They star# on one or ten and then go wherever they want to. Caaper to{d Ran that the Caldwell Golfers are proud of the way the courses have been maintained. Every one says they are in great shape. Ron said that Glen Kushlan, who has worked at the purple sage course for 25 years, was named employee o# the month of the City of Caldwell � 5) NEW OR OLD BUSINESS � } 6) Fran Craeger announced that this would her last meeting an the golf board. Georgia . Hersh will be the new ladies representative. Coaper thanked Fran for her good work on the board. Pat Inglis said that the men's association would like ta have a member/guest tournament sometime next year. They would iike to have this be a no green fee event for the guest. Cooper ta4d Pat that the board did not want to have any new events that waive green fees. He told Pat to have the men's association put together their proposal and bring it to the board for consideration. 7) No more business. Meeting adjourned • �
