Keeping carts 30 feet or 10 steps from greens and tees. REPORT FROM KEN WHEELER Ken thanked the men's association for helping with the cost of removing the trees. Three trees were removed behind #4 green making it easier to water. One tree was removed #15 it was on the septic system. Total of ten trees were removed. This will be a 3-4 years process getting the trees out and put back. Trees will be replaced in the fall. We will also accept any trees that people would like to donate in memory of their loved ones. Pat Inglis suggested we have a plaque made inside the clubhouse with all the names, where the tree is located and date planted... All trees will be planted in the fall and placements will go through Ken. A new assistant has been hired; he will start on Monday February 20 He will be introduced at the March board meeting. Greens had snow cover with 2-3 inches of ice for most of December. There will be a little damage, but there is green growth underneath. Additional staff is in place and cleanup is being done at both courses preparing the • start of the season in March. The trees along #4 at Fairview will not be replaced. The net was repaired and the tee box will be moved up except at tournament time. Hopefully this will cut down on balls going into the street. REPORT FROM JOHN WATSON John complimented Ken on the work that has been done on the course. Noted that the bunkers looked better then they ever have. Trees have been taken out and cart paths were fixed. We are being well served by Ken. We didn't play one round in December so therefore the numbers are down but it was due to the weather. John ask about the proposed two hour blocked tee times for green fee only on weekends and holidays. This is covered under old business. REPORT FROM LENNY STROUP We lost the month of December because of snow and ice. Comparing Nov Dec Jan • 2004 we are up for those months. We are getting more people joining and green fee • play is doing well, I would like to keep the $10.00 green fee at this time. We have an increase in play and green fees are up. I am selling a lot of Fairview only season passes and more value cards then I did last years Board would like to keep the $10.00 would remain in place until you couldn't get on Fairview. A thank you note will be sent to the family of Sally & Boyd Harris for the score board at Fairview. OLD BUSINESS Proposed two hour blocked tee times for green fees only on weekends and holidays. Pat Inglis doesn't think we can tell people who have already bought passes that they cannot play during these times. He suggested we get the opinions of season pass holders, men's, women's associations and research this at length before we make any decisions on this. Pat suggested that perhaps we could lower the season pass and then every time you played you would pay a small additional fee. Pat proposed we table this idea for next year. • Jeff suggested not restricting tee times and taking advanced tee times that would be reserved with a credit card. They would limited to one foursome. John said he would track this and report back monthly to as to how this is working. Pat Inglis was opposed to this and thinks we should come up with another way to raise some revenue. This issue was discussed at length. It was tabled for the March meeting. We ask the men's and women's representatives to take this back to their people and get some ideas. NEW BUSINESS: Jeff reported a stop light will be placed at the corner of Logan & lO Project placement time is 2007... It will have a motion signal that the car carts will activate to cross l O th St. Jeff will bring photos to the next meeting. Discussion was held concerning the empty cart spaces. It was suggested we close off one end of lower cart shed for storage of fertilizer and etc. If at a later time we need the spaces they will be available. Meeting was adjourned. • Page 1 of 1 ,.
