GUESTS:
Ger.ald Schroeder stated that he and many other area golfers benefit greatly from our local
facilities; therefore he requested that the people who use the courses be provided with a
 . .
policy, direction and control. Policy should state who is responsible, should be named,
and those who have difficulty with the policy should be controlled. Golfers are allowed
to use the golf courses and all golfers should have direction and should keep within the
rules and regulations. These courses belong to all of us. Some can not follow the
regulations without help.
REPORT FROM KEN WHEELER
New trash can holders have been put out on all the holes at Purple Sage. Ken and his
crew built them at a cost of $22.00 per holder. At a later date when we have more money
available we will have the trash cans, benches and ball washers in the same location with
nice cinder around them.
Moisture is right so they have started punching the fairways at both courses...
A full crew is in place at Fairview and the cleanup is done. When it dries we will remove
the tree stumps on #4
By June we should know more on the street light that is to be put in at 10' & Logan.
This won't be done until 2008. Depending on the road we may have to make #3 a par 3.
Land update:
A developer across the street is putting in road. This road will be asphalted. The city
• gave him the easement to expand the road on the east side. This will be done with no cost
to the city.
Pat Inglis ask how Ken thought the course fared through the winter. Pat thought there
was some damage to greens. Ken informed us that it was ice damage. We will top dress
these areas. It should come out of it. These areas have been marked and will be watched.
Cart sheds have all been cleaned out.
We no longer need to put a light on #8. A tree had to be removed and when that was
done one the neighbors light does the job.
REPORT FROM JOHN WATSON
John reported that the season had begun. The Spring Scramble was held with 123
players. We are not playing many rounds now due to the weather. At this point in the
season the nuxnbers are really based on when people can buy their passes. John will
provide numbers next month to give us a better picture.
Cart storage is down about 30%. We are losing people due to age.

 REPORT FROM LENNY STROUP
Lenny reported his figures were down from last year due to weather, We have just not
had the weather for good golf. Season passes for Fairview only are selling quite well.
Greens fees for the same period are also down from last year. So we just need some good
weather.
OLD BUSINESS
Reaorts from Men's & Ladies Associations.
Pat Inglis reported the men had a good discussion. There were suggestions on the user
fees. Some senior thought a weekday pass was good. On the issue of raising money for
maintenance we organized a board to help with certain maintenance items, redoing the
sand traps. Brad Carrow will chair this board and be in contact with Ken. T'hey thought
this was better then raising the tournament fees. The men had a good discussion as to
what the men's association could do to help out.
Pat Matteri reported that the ladies met and she has asked for some suggestions and at
this time has not gotten any.
Blocked Tee Times:
This issue will be discussed at a later date, but feel it is too late in the year to block these
off now. This was ta.bled and will be on the agenda for next month.
Land Uodate:
Jeff reported we are going through the zoning changes at this time.
NEW BUSINESS
Advertisin
It was decided that we would place ads in both the Idaho Press Tribune and the Idaho
Statesman. Shirley will take care of this.
Jeff reported that he was going to check and see why Purple Sage doesn't show up on the
Garman GPS system. He will report on this later. Ken is working to get our web site
updated.
No other new business.
Meeting adjourned.
