July was the hottest month on record. The average temperature was 97degrees for 31
days. We lost some areas to billbug. Some problems in the fa.irway aze not billbug, it's a
fungus problem. We have sprayed the greens for the fungus, but it's not cost effective to
do the fairways. Our goal is to over-seed the golf course with rye grass. After the Labor
Day tournament 1,SOO lbs of seed will put down, starting with the fairways and banks.
This will help control billbug as they don't like rye grass.
Overall the course has been wet because of the heat, collars are looking better. The
aeration went well and the green look pretty good. We are getting ready for the State
Senior golf tournament next week.
eration at Fairview is done and the greens should be healed u bef
championship.

Starting November 15th a11 carts will be kept on the cart paths through middle of February

alert people of the change.

August. Things aze good at the golf course; we are getting lots of compliments on the
condition of the course and what a great job Ken is doing. People axe happy. We ha,ve
several toumaments coming up and overall we are going strong.

OLD BUSINESS 4R NEW BUSINESS
Shirley passed out copies of the new fees tha.t the council approved, along with a letter
that JefF had written concerning the new fees. Corrections were made by Pat Inglis and
George Scott.
Pat Inglis suggested that maybe we needed a discount rate of $15.00 far the hot months to
get more people out on Purple Sage during July and August. It was moved by Pat Inglis
that a$15.00 ra.te be in effect after 2:00 pm at Purple Sage Golf Course any day of the
week starting Ju1y 1 st through August 31 St 2007. Motion was seconded by George Scott.
