REPORT FROM KEN WHEELER Ken was not able to make the meeting as he was attending superintendent's classes. He did report through Shirley that there was still 8" of frost in the ground at Purple Sage. The closings on the back nine were due to standing water and operation has been made on a day to day basis. He also noted that the areas around the greens at Fairview were torn up pretty bad. y .. . George reports that the Caldwell High School Welding class has completed the new tee markers and they have been sent out to be powder coated. They turned out quite good and we will need to get with the Mayor to make sure there is some recognition goes out to all involved. I would also like to recognize George Scott as this was his idea and because of his efforts we will soon have new tee markers. REPORT FROM JOHN WATSON John states that there is nothing happening at Sage. Since we do not yet have the Point of Sale system installed and can not actually give folks their cards many folks are just waiting until it has been installed and up and running. He states the numbers are down due to this and the fact that we have been on the paths only. Once we get back on the fairways on the carts he thinks play will increase. REPORT FROM LENNY STROUP Lenny reports that numbers are up at Fairview. Last year green fees for the period was at 930.00 this year we are at 1570.00. He also states that his pass sales are down again due to the POS system not being installed yet. He does note that he has actually sold more of • the new restricted passes than the un-restricted. He has sold 19 passes to date. He also brought a question as to the restriction on the passes at Fairview. The board determined that since Fairview does not take tee times that pass holders could play Fairview at anytime the course was open for play. The high school has requested to have a shotgun start for the scheduled JV matches. Lenny could see no problems with this and the board agreed that they will allow them to shotgun as requested. The match is April 24 OLD BUSINESS El jay addressed the meeting concerning the pending land sale. He reports that there were no bidders at the 50,000.00 per acre price and we are now in the process of choosing a realtor to work with on marketing the property. This process allows realtors to submit proposals or bids on how and for what price they will market the property. Once this is complete a company will be chosen and the property put on the market. Pat will give El Jay information on a publication which is cost effective in getting the word out to the realtors. NEW BUSINESS There have been a few requests for un- restricted passes from folks who had medical problems last year and could not play golf. The Board has decided we will handle these requests based on a case by case basis. John and Lenny will bring requests to the board. The meeting was then adjourned.
