Six members of the board were in attendance. The minutes were read and approved. REPORT FROM KEN WHEELER Ken reported they had punched the entire course at Fairview. There was a lot of damage from golf carts over the winter. Ken took photos of the damage. Next year we might have to decrease the number of carts in a foursome to help prevent damage when there are soft conditions. It will take a lot of work to get rid of the damage. Later in the year some over seeding will be done depending on the budget and land sale. The greens came through the winter pretty good. However we did have a lot of frost damage at both courses. The crew at Fairview is trying to get all the leaks fixed. • a a • Purple Sage has the new computer system in place with the new passes. The computer system will placed at Fairview at a later time. It is important that everyone keep track of their membership card as there will be a$10.00 charge to replace a card. Trees were cut down on number 11 tee because the 14 green was not getting enough sunlight and they were having trouble keeping it alive. Gained five to six hours of sunlight in the springtime. Plan is to finish cutting stumps out, treat them and grind them out in April and plant new trees in May. There will be some rerouting done on the cart paths. New rough equipment is and we have starting cutting rough. Overall the course came through the winter really well. Keeping carts on the cart paths made a huge difference. We have put a new rope system in play so that will help a great deal. Ken report his assistant superintendent is leaving to go to Broadmore so he will be replaced. NEW BUSINESS Don Williamson stated that due to heath issues after purchasing his 2006 season pass he had not been able to play golf. The doctors have released him to play and ask that we transfer his credit from 2006 to his 2007 season pass. • Dan Rowell made the motion we transfer this credit toward purchase of a restricted senior pass for the year 2007. George Scott seconded. Motion carried. REPORT FROM JOHN WATSON John reported it has been a slow start this year because of the changes we are doing. So it is too soon to show numbers. We weren't able to sell anything because of the changes. But we are selling lots of passes now. The golf course looks great. Ken has it in good shape and everyone is pleased. John read a request from Fred Corey asking for a transfer of credit for his wife's 2006 season pass. His wife was out of town last summer and could not play due to a family illness/death. After some discussion and because the illness was not Mrs Corey's this request was denied. REPORT FROM LENNY STROUP Lenny reported season ticket sales were down because he only sells Fairview only passes. All other passes will be purchased at Purple Sage so they can get all the information they need for the computer. But was pleased to report that greens fees were up this year. Lenny complimented the crew on how great the golf course looks. • r , • • We are having problems with people parking over along the street and coming onto the course with paying green fees. This matter will be looked into to see what we can do to put a stop to it. OLD BUSINESS Tee box markers made by the Caldwell High welding class look great. George Scott reported that a press release is being planned with everyone involved. Land Sale Jim Dakan reported that we should have some proposals on selling the land sale back in by the end of the week. Meeting adj ourned. •
