Meeting ot� the Caldwell Golf Course Board was held in the Council room
at City H�,ll,at noon on Nove�ber 14, 1984.
Members present: Council-Liaison Bill Norman, Pro Keith Stanwood, Jim ('�uy
Supt. Gordy Crockett, Pro Jeff 8odwell, Les Summers, Rick Sweaney,
�artha Esson, Laura Gamboa, Geor�;ia Hersh and Lynn Robinson.
Members absent: Scott Holloway.
Minutes of the October meeting along with the golf report and budget handed
to each member. -
Committee Reports:
Keith reported that November wasen't very good due to the cold weather.Keith
feels that more revenue can be raised on weekends by going to tee times.
There was some dis�ussion on grants and Les Summers s�,id he would gladly
pay for postage to be sent to someone in Washington D.C.
Laura appointed Jim Guy to come up with some type of letter to be sent
to McClure and Syms.
Jim thinks a building fund should be established b,y increasing tickets and
green fees.
Laura sai�. the first thing was to go over the season tickets and green fees
for 1985 also the cart storage.
Lynn Robinson moved that season tickets and cart storage remain the same,
Seconded by Jim Guy, motion carried.
Jim moved that basic green-fees be adjusted to come out on even number
including tax.( Example= P.S. 5.7� 9 holes= 8.50 18 holes)Fairview-5.25-6.25)
But green fees will be increas�� �n February as soon as other clubs have
set the prices, the board will check and set the prices to be competitive.
Laura had everyone go over the free passes ,it was voted to leave as is.
Fairview will be closed on Sundays when course is unplayable and the same
guideline followed as in 84". Jeff should have vacation without paying for
someone to run clubhouse for hi�. Bill Norman will check this out.
Laura asked Gordy about the chain by t�e clubhouse at P.S. Gordy said it
was stolen.
Bill Norman said they are still working on Keiths' Insurance.
The board decided to leave tickets the same for people out of Canyon County.
Keith said we �ere getting more on �reen fees.
Jim Guy suggested coverin� the left side of the ditch between the bridge on
#2 fairway.�p.s�,)
It was voted by the board that Byrle Morse be given a lifetime season ticket
in appreciation for what he has done.
Laura said there would be no Dec. meetin� unless something comes up. Next
meeting to be held January 9, 1985 at City Hall.
With no further business meeting adjourned at 2:30 p.m.
