Meeting of the Caldwell Golf Board was held at City Hall on June 14,1989
, at 8:00 a.m.
Members Present: Council-Liaison Bob Jarboe, Supt. Gordy Crockett,Del Jones
Pro John Watson, Pro Troy Vitek, Rick Sweaney, Bob Sower, Ric Coles
Laura Gamboa and Monte Gibson.
� Members Absent: Jim Guy.
Copies of the May meeting were handed to each member along with the golf
receipts.
Bob Jarboe reported that the Council didn't approve the Billboard to be
placed by the Freeway.
Since we are about $30,000 behind last year at this time we have to be
careful of our spending.

Troy Vitek asked if it would be possible to have signs for the driving
range with the restrictions,since the one has been taken.
Gordy said the signs could be placed on the cart storage s�ed. .
Also that the air conditioner isn't working and with this hot weather
it is real warm at the clubhouse and people just won't be able to sit
and eat and also it will hurt play at Fairview.
Bob Ja=boe will check and see how much money we can use if any fromthe
Fairview contingency.
The Board members feel that this should be taken care of now as we still
July and August the real hot months.
John Watson said that Bill Moad had talked to him about the Basque Tourney
for next year, they thought that Septemberof 1990 would be fine, he will
get back to us on this.
John also said the the tournament that Larry Cline from theBoise State
had talked to the Board about in February is going to be held at Purple
with full charge on green fees, this was with the approval of the board.
Gordy said that the trap on the left side on #15 would be filled in,
also the sprinklers will be placed between 8& 11 .
Mayor Coles gave Bob Jarboe a note that Mr.Evans had called about a fence '
on #2 at Fairview. Gordy said they had planted about $300.00 worth of
trees there so this should help.
Monte Gibson reported that the Men's Tournament would be held on August
12 & 13 .
Ric Coles said he would write to one of the Golf magazines to get some
free copies on course play , etc. -
Next meeting to be held at City Hall on July 12.
