Bob Jarboe explained the financial status of the fund raising and budget
also he had Lisa get a copy of the lease. The outstanding amount of the
loan plus interest is over $250,000-
The idea is to pay the loan off as soon as possible with at least trying
to raise $32,000 a year - thus making payments of $82,000, this way we
could pay this off in three years instead of eight.
We have $46,000 in fund raising that the board wants applied on that now.
Lisa mentioned that the Auditing Staff has been at city halll all week
after the audit then we will have accurate figures.
Bob Jarboe mentioned to Gordy that Teri Brandt had to see him to get the
Golf Budget correct as he had to cut $26,000.
Bob Jarboe mentioned he had talked to Harold Wiseman ,Chairman of Golf
Board at Centennial Course about the idea discussed this spring by the
Caldwell Board on reduced green fees for people at either course with a
season pass- if Caldwell people went to Nampa they would pay $5.00 upon
showing the pass, same with Nampa coming to Caldwell.
Bob Sower made motion of reduction in fees agreeable to both courses
seconded by Rick Sweaney, Motion carried.
Laura brought up the incident of the Suggestion Box and apologized to
Mayor Cowles for the actions of a certain party.
Mayor Cowles thanked the Golf Board for all they have done.
John Watson had cash for a season pass that John McCain had paid him but
as the new tickets won't be ready until Dec.1 -John wanted to know what
action to take -Lisa told him just run it thru now and see that McCain
gets a ticket when ready.
John reported that season tickets are down , Purple Sage is down $1,600
but Fairview is still hurt by Centennial( $3,894.00)
John mentioned that Troy Vitek is a true asset to Caldwell and suggested
that the city give Troy an increase to pay a person to collect green fees.
Bob Jarboe along with Mayor Cowles would talk with Troy.
Bob would also dicuss the parking ( Lot across from Fairview) with Council.
John Watson said he would rather have new chairs for the downstairs, dining
banquet room instead of the ball machine.
Dr. Mac from Lincoln school called and wanted to know if it would be
possible to use holes #7& 8 on Oct.28 for the run but that is the weekend
of the Pneumonia Open, Troy would contact him and explain .
Monte Gibson that Oct.21 would be the Beryle Morse Tournament with a
