been out at Purple doing more checking Tuesday.
The Purple Sage cart shed discussion came up again and the board feels
this should be kept clean, outside needs to be painted voted on blue to
match other cart storage, also try to do something about the birds this
winter.

kept clean and spruced up with flowers etc.
The advertising for fees will be done at a later date like last year
perhaps in December for a week and then in late January wait and see
what the weather is like.
John Watson still would like to see a billboard but we shall have to see
what can be done it would be great to have it on the Chamber of Commerce
property. We will ask Bob Jarboe about this.
Laura gave the attendance record for the year of the appointed board
members , she said there are several good people that want on the board
and we have to either attend the meetings or submit our resignation if
the meetings can't be attended.
John Watson reported that the October golf report showed a good increase
at Purple Sage but Fairview is still down.
John asked if the fees would remain the same for 1990 and the board said
we promised the people no increase for two years as we were getting their
support on the new clubhouse.
John asked about the tournaments that are held such as the C.of I= etc
that they wait about a month before the green fees are paid. The board
said they should be paid the day of the tournament, so a meeting will be
set up with Bob Jarboe to get this letter written and presented to the
council so then it can be sent to the various schools or parties in
charge of the tournaments. This would also be for Troy Vitek at Fairview.
This would be a policy from the City of Caldwell to direct John & Troy to
collect green fees on day of tournament.
Motion made by Bob Sower ,seconded by Jim Guy ,motion carried.Letter to
be on City stationery.
John had a request for the Idaho Senior Tournament to be held Sept 5,1990
Wednesday about a 100 players.
John will discuss the scorecards at next meeting he said he has revamped
the cards.
John said Bob Batt reported that the support by the fourth door is
damaged ,also that by the service entrance by the trash bin should have
a guard rail as someone could fall and get hurt.
Discussion about down stairs Banquet room should it be open when Purple
closes in December. Board felt that it would be best to have it closed
December & January. That for the amount of $75.00 it would cost more to
pay staff etc. This to be discussed with Bob Jarboe as soon as possible
so he can bring it to the Council.
Laura said she would try to have a special meeting with Bob.

Jim Guy had the information on the Tee Off Time "Membership which is $30.00
the book lists the courses and also Hotels, here we have Payette, Ontario
Emmett. Sell one member course gets $4.00.
This is how it works:
When the golfer comes to your course, he simply presents you his Tee Off
Time membership card, and you merely cross out your course's number on the
back of the card. The surface of the card is coated with a special material
that cannot be erased. That is all there is to it.
Each golf course is assigned its own identification number which appears
in the directory and is printed on the back of the membership card that is
issued to each playing member of the program.
Attached is more information on this.
Board members are anxious to know if we will still have Bob Jarboe as our
Council-Liaison, we all would like to have Bob. We Know that comes up to
the new Mayor.
Rick Sweaney said he felt we should keep green fees competetive with the
other courses. More discussion on this in December.
Troy Vitek asked about the winter rates that were voted on in September
this will be checked with Bob Jarboe.
Mayor Jim Dakan dropped by and was very supporting of the golf courses
in Caldwell.
With no further business meeting adjourned at 9:45 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
