A copy of the Fax received from "Gaylon Coates Irrigation Consultants" was handed to each member. VICE MIKE GARMAN: Mike opened the meeting by taking each item on the Agenda. The first item was what did the Board Members want included in the "95" Budget. Mike reminded each member that attached to the minutes were rates from the other Courses in the Valley,to study these and then later this year when we set the fees for "95" we can compare what a bargain people are getting playing in Caldwell. There was quite a discussion on perhaps limiting "Season Passes" morr on this when fees are set. The Board was all in favor of limiting the JRS. to a 5 day pass as the other Courses, but this will all be voted on in August. Bill Moad suggested posting the sheets with the rates from other Courses at both Clubhouses. The big discussion was on the Corporate Passes it seems that sone people are really abusing this privilege of the pass. This was started in "89" on a trial basis to help pay for the new Club- - house. There are to be four cards with name of Corporation and only for peple can use it a given time. The pass was to be used for company guests and business,it seerns now that people are buying or paying $200.00 to the corporation an3 playing. Also anyone comes in and signs under a company, seems there is alot of green fees just given away. Kris Inouye was very instrumentl in starting this pass and he explained the use of the pass as listed above. Kris Inouye moved that we have the Mayor write a letter to all the people that have the Corporate Pass explaining the use and that these rules must be followed. Four Passes are to be issued to corporation. That when anyone from the Corporation goesto play golf that party must show and hand card to the Pro at either Course, the Pro will keep card until party is finished then they can ask for card. Each Pass Holder must sign sheet with Corporate Nameand Name of Player ' .` , Page 2 A person will not be allowed to play under a Corporate Pass until he or she show the card and present it to the Pro. No card no free golf: This motion was seconded by Lloyd Nelsen all voted in favor except for Shirley Akagi she chose not to vote. In favor were Mike Garman, Kris Inouye, Lloyd Nelsen, Bill Moad,Dave- Paulsen, Georgia Hersh and Jerry Langan. Mike Garman went over the proposed planned Bunkers at Purple Sage that the Planning Committee went over with Gordy. All were pleased with the changes except for number "8" decided it would be best not to have new Bunker as planned, but to fill in the other two as planned. Bill Moad said they have the new Sand and it will be about $5.00 more per yard. The Long Range Planning Committee would like to see the parking area black topped and have stripes painted for parking behind the cart sheds. Also behind shed number 2 there is alot of space. The committee will have more to report on this at the next meeting. Gordy had suggested removing some trees on the Driving Range and fixing parking spaces but the Board Members felt this was not what they would like. Board felt with fixing behind cart sheds this should be plenty of space. Bill Moad moved that we not do anything with the "Driving Range" seconded by Dave Paulsen, motion carried. John Watson was asked if he had a waiting list for space John said he had about 10 names. LENNY STROUP• Lenny said last month he said he didn't need the Shelter extended at Fairview but he has reconsidered and if something could be done to get Lockers put in Shelter as the Jrs. have no place to store there clubs. Gordy and Lenny will look into this and see what can be done, will report at next meeting. Mike asked what could be done about the fence on number 7 it seems that golfers still are going over the fence to get there golf balls. Are there any "NO TRESPASSING"SIGNS posted. Lenny said he has a Marshal on week-ends and he will have him keep a close watch on this. Lenny said he had about 110 people signed up for golf lessons. Bill Schwind wanted the Board Members to know that the "CINCO DE MAYO" has been changed back to Fairview and that May 7(Saturday) Tournament. GORDY CROCKETT: Gordy said he went with the "RAINMASTER" Salesman to Bend,Oregon and looked over the equipment and computer program was very impressed with it. Gordy said the two signs are on order for "NO PARKING" TRAILERS MUST Park behind Cart Shed: Gordy said for "95" BUdget he has included a new cart for the Marshal its called a"RED MULE" but these work better then a golf cart. Mike Garman had a"Sponsor Marker" to show the Board Members what they will look like and also informed the Board that Steve Fouts has them all eady to go. , , Page 3 JOHN WATS0IV: John had a request from the "CALDWELL CHAMBER of COMMERCE" for a Tournament to be held on June 3(Friday AFTERNOON) That the Course would be closed at 1:00 p.m. Players could play in the morning but would have to be off by 1:00 p.m. Kris Inouye moved to grant this request, seconded by Georgia Motion carried. 6 John also had a letter from Teri Ottens wanting to rent the downstairs for a day and half of day at the old price of $75.00 and pay $115.00 total.
