Meeting of the Caldwell Golf Board was held on January 22,1993 at the Elks at noon.
Members Present: Chairman Don Tolley, Lloyd Nelsen, Mike Garmail, Kris Inouye & Shirley Akagi.

Also in attendance were Supt. Gordy Crockett, Pro John Watson.
Bill Schwinn Community Services Director.
Members Absent: Bill Moad
Copies of the December meeting along with the agenda and golf receipts were handed to each
member.
Chairn�a�1 Don Tolley explained that a letter was received from the Caldwell Community Foundatior
in regard to the check mailed last year(2545.00) the Board had wriiten several �.e�tzrs about tt

Don explained to Bill Gigray that we would get that taken care of as soon as possible, so it
will be put up as soon as Lloyd Nelsen contacts the builders.
A letter will be mailed to Mr. Gigray as soon as we have some information as to the cost.
C pNII�II�I*rEE REPORTS : Gordy said the Alarm Syst�ns at both Courses have been changed also
Locks have been changed.
Teri Ottens will issue the keys so John was asked to contact Teri.
�ordy said the Flood Light at Fairview has been installed.
The Air Conditioner at Purple Sage has been installed but it is not
wired as yet.
John Watson asked about the NO SMOKING and after some discussion it was voted on to recommend
to the Mayor and Council that the Card Room at Purple Sage would be the only place to allow
smoki.ng .
Motion made by Kris In�ouy e seconded by Lloyd Nelsen. Motion carried.
John also said he had talked to the Mayor in regards to an extension of two years in his
contract as he is trying to buy the Golf Carts from Elkhorn.
This is something that has to be done with Bi11 Schwinn, Teri Ottens and the Mayor.
Bill Schwinn stated that he would get with John next week as the contract has to be revised et
Don stated that the Board has no say about the contract but stated that we recommend the
extension to the Mayor.
Lloyd Nelsen moved, seconded by Shirley Akagi, motion carried.
Bill Schwinn did say the contract should be from the First of January to the end of December-
His present contract ends-this year in December, so a two year extension would be fran
January 1-94 ending December 31-95. All this will be brought up at the next �eting
Bill Schwinn handed copies from the Beneh Craft Co and asked if we had a contract on this
Gordy said he had a copy and would get it for him as these people sell this advertising for
$350.00 and it all goes out of state.
Lloyd asked Bill if the City could take this program over and Bill stated that he will take
care of it.
Bill Schwinn stated that the "CINC70 DE MAYO" Tournament would be held on May 2 at Purple
with a shotgun start at 2:00 p.m. this is on a Sunday. He stated that last year that U.S.West
contributed $10,000 towards this tol��ament and that this year it will be more.
The NO SMOICING at Fairview would be for the whole clubhouse. No disignated area-

Mike Garman:'
'• . I�ke said he is now selling Insurance and feels that he wouldn't have as much
time to chairn�n the long range planning canmittee but that he would be glad
to be vice-chairman of the project.
Don asked Lloyd if he would be chairman and Lloyd said he had plenty of time
he would be happy to do so.
Ed Kinyon : Said as yet that the men's association didn't have all the tournament dates but
he urould have them for the February meeting.
Georgia Hersh: Had a list of the ladies planned tournaments also the list fran Pro Lenny Stroup
for Fairview. ( attached is a copy of the tournaments)
Chairman Don said he ha.d spoken with Bill Moad and that if the meetings were held the week of
scheduled date that he had no problem making the meeting.
The Board decided to try having the meetings at Purple Sage downstairs on the second Wednesday
of each month,8:00 a.m, the next meeting to be February 10,93.
Chairman Don said it was January and that it was election for chairman.
Mike Gazman said Don had done a very good job and would nominate Don for chaizman, seconded by
Kris
Ed Kinyon nomi.nated Shirley
Don asked if they wanted a show of hands and Shirley requested a silent vote.

�hairman Don said Bill Moad called and qave him his Proxy for Shirley.
Chairman Don asked John Watson to please have his staff check the Jr. Passes.
With no further business meeting adjourned at 1: p.m.
