CALDWELL GOLF BOARD MEETING
Meeting of the Caldwell Golf Board was held in the Council Chambers at
8:00 a.m. on December 9, 1992.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Don Tolley, Bill Moad, Lloyd Nelsen,Mike Garman
Shirley Akagi.
Representing the two associations, Georgia Hersh,Ed.Kiny
Also in attendance were Teri Ottens and Pro Lenny Stroup.
Copies of the IVovember meeting along with the golf agenda and golf receip
were handed to each member.
Chairman Don Tolley called on Teri Ottens , she explained what Intermount.
Gas Company had requested .Right-of-way and easement to construct and
maintain a gas distribution line upon and across the following described
Property.(ATTACHED IS COPY OF CORPORATION EASEMENT)
A motion by Mike Garman to go along with City Planners ,seconded by Georg
motion carried.
Teri Ottens explained about the AUDITORS concern regarding the sale of
Season Tickets and several other things that the Board would have to meet
to discuss in March for changes.
Teri also stated that there are several things at Purple Sage like doors
left unlocked, some one living at clubhouse, alarms going off.
There will be only so many keys issued and the Locks are all being change
also a different code for the ALARM.
Lenny asked Teri if it would be possible to have Fairview Locks changed
as he didn't know who had keys or what.
Teri said that would be taken care of, she also stated that they are
changing the locks and alarm at City Hall and that only a few keys will bE
released.
Teri also handed the members a copy of the NO SMOKING ORDINANCE:
Bill Moad moved that we adopt the amendment with designated smoking areas
seconded by Mike Garman, motion carried.
Teri said she would take care of this.
Don Tolley said he would get with the Mayor about the T.V.Set that was
broken and the city will take care of it.
Lenny Stroup had the CART TRAIL FEE STICKERS this year they are black/whi
he said the cost was $76.00.
Lenny asked if it would be o.k. if he sent out invitations to some of the
golfers for an open house before Christmas.
Board thought this was a very good idea.
Lenny also had some information on score boards with pictures etc of
different sponsors, Lenny to contact the sales people and have them atten
the March meeting.
Teri had mentioned that the Auditors were talking about perhaps leasing
the whole facility to the Pros and they would be responsible for the
operation and up keep etc.
Loyd Nelsen asked Lenny if he could check on a fee that some of the Pros

have to come up with in order to lease. Lenny said the two Pros in

Pocatello were very good friends of his and he would get with them.
Chairman Don Tolley said that he was appointing a long range planning
committee with Mike Garman as chairman, John Watson, Lenny Stroup
Gordy Crockett, Bill Schwinn, Bob Jarboe, Laura Gamboa and Don.
The two presidents, Georgia Hersh and Ed Kinyon.
Don asked Bill Moad to get with Gordy, Lenny and John Schriener about
Fairview. Holes discussed were #5,6,9 & 1.
Don was to call Gordy regarding the Flood Light at Fairview.
The number 12 ditch at Purple was brought up and that will not be covered
but the Board Members insist that the weeds be taken care of with Round U
or whatever it takes to kill the weeds.
Chairman Don Tolley had a request from Bob Carr with the Idaho Senior
Golf, they would like to have the date of September 1 on a Wednesday
Board granted this request.
Ed Kinyon said he would have a schedule in January for the men's tournamer
Georgia will also have a schedule for the planned ladies events.
Chairman Don said the roof and siding for the Fairview Clubhouse is in
the budget for "93". ( $36,000)
The Christmas Ad will appear in both papers on the 13th & 20th.
With no further business meeting adjourned at 10:20 a.m.
Next meeting to be January 13,1993 at 8:00 a.m.
