' CALDWELL GOLF BOARD MEETING
Meeting of the Caldwell Golf Board was held September 9,1992 in the
Conference Room at City Hall at 8:00 a.m. �
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Don Tolley, Kris Inouye, Shirley Akagi
Craig Beukelman.
Lenny Stroup, John Watson,Supt.Gordy Crockett.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Bill Moad, Lloyd Nelsen & Mike Garman.
Copies of the August meeting along with the golf receipts were handed
to each member.
John Watson: John said score cards needed to be taken care of for
the coming year and wanted to know if they could be purchased.
Chairman Don told John to look into the different cards and have the
prices for the October meeting so they can be taken care of after
the meeting.
John presented a letter to Don from Randy Foreman requesting credit on
his season pass for 1993 due to his sons illness.
A letter to be written to Randy on this .( letter attached)
John also presented a check from the Par Estates for $150.00 to go
on Course Beautification Fund.
Chairman Don asked John if he had any report on the new sand on #18.
John said that people seemed to be happy with it and it certainly
made the traps look good.
Lenny Stroup: Lenny brought one of the new score cards to show the
members , said he had no doubt over 40,000
Lenny stated that Labor Day he had 247 people-playing and had taken in
$1300.00 in green fees. Said he had only three;.complaints out of 247
for not having tee times.
Lenny said that he has had two inspections in the last month.Had to
have another fire extinguisher,also has to have another plug in as
one can't use extension cords, also the Mop sink has to have some
type of back up. But he is getting it all taken care of.
Lenny said if Charlie wouid bring him the Lattice Board that he would
get it put up on the new shelter.
Chairman Don asked how they handle the Golf card sign up. Lenny said he
has a regular Golf Card book they sign and also has it onthe daily sheet
that is turned in to the city.
John said he only has them sign the regular Golf Card book. Chairman Don
asked John to please have them sign the daily sheet as well so a record
can be kept when the rounds are counted. John said he would from now on.
Chairman Don asked Gordy what the cost of the sand was - Gordy said they
used 82,000 lbs.
Don figured the cost to be around $725.00 plus freight.
Bill Moad had stated that he would furnish the trucks but something came
up that now he says there will have to be a oharge,since Bill was absent
at this meeting , Don will get in touch with him.

Kris gave the report on the Fund Raising for the "Course Beautification
It should be around $17,206.00 ��� �
A letter to be sent to all sponsors thanking them for there donations.

There was some discussion on the ditch on #12 this was to be covered
last year but was put off due to the expense �

Shirley Akagi felt it should be covered because it does slow up play
since the ladies tee boxes have been moved up.��;

Gordy said he has talked to the Irrigation Dep�rtment and thinks we
can work something out , No vote on this as there was not a quorum.
Gordy is to report on this at next meeting with the cost of covering
also we have to pay for the pipe( $1700)

Chairman Don asked Gordy about the air conditioner at Purple basement
Gordy said the cost would be around $3100. but'''this is to be split
three ways. Architect, Contractor and Purple Sage.
Gordy was asked to check on the broken T.V.see its covered by
insurance.This was one of the T.V, sets that Taylor Music let the
City use at Purple Sage for a Corporate Pass.(There are two sets alike)
Chairman reminded the members of the Byrle Morse Tournament. More on
this at another meeting. ,,;;r
Lenny said he had purchased a stamp with Fairview Only to be stamped
on Jr. Season passes that only pay $40.00- John was asked to please
get one and that a11 Jr.passes are to,be shown'';at Purple when they sign in.
Chairman Don to inform Betty Jo about getting,a stamp for city.
