Copies of the November 13 meeting along with the Agenda and golf receipts

Laura had invited Jim McGarvin to the meeting as the board had some
questions on the Shelter at Fairview .At the August 14 meeting Jim
explained that the few dimples on the back of the new shelter were caused
as the truck was not long enough, that if we wanted to he would replace
the ones that needed to be taken care of. Board members felt it would be
best to have the inside beams capped so the birds would not get up there.
Jim was reminded of this so he will take care of it.
Jim said he would get with Tom Wheeler and discuss the roof at Fairview,
also the Board asked Jim if he would look at the outdoor patio at Purple
so he can give us an estimate on a roof.
Don Tolley moved that Ji take care of the Shelter the inside beams,
seconded by Kris Inouye, motion carried, also to give an estimate on
the roof at Purple Sage Patio.
There was a very long discussion about the Fairview Clubhouse and what
it costs to repair the roof etc.
Don Tolley said perhaps we should look into some of the Pre-Fab Homes
that are advertised on T.V.
Laura appointed a committee of Don Tolley, Kris Inouye & Edie Stuthiet
to look into this.
Edie Stuthiet asked if something couldn't be done about the birds in
the cart storage shed at Purple. It seems that several things have been
tried but the birds still get in there.
Kris Inouye suggested Plastic barriers or treated bird seed. More on this
next month when Gordy is in attendance.
Kris asked if the new Tee Boxes were going to get done this year. Kris
said this should be a winter project when the ground is frozen so the
trucks can haul the dirt without doing damage to the course.
Kris said he would furnish the trucks at no expense, that we could have
a volunteer work day.
Laura was to call Gordy to see if he had marked off the places to put
the dirt.( Laura went out to Purple after the meeting spoke with Glen
Kushlan and John Schriener) they showed her where the trucks had put
the dirt on #10 Men's - and how the trucks sunk in the ground and until
the ground is frozen they won't take anymore dirt.
Laura reported on the advertising that an ad appeared in the Tribune on
Sunday 12/8- there will also be an ad on the 15 & 22 both on the
Tribune and Statesman.
We are anxious to see if people will buy tickets for Xmas gifts etc.
`, .
Laura brought an article regarding the use of chemicals on the golf-
courses. That warnings are to be posted when chemicals are used.
There will be more discussion on this next month when Gordy returns
from vacation.
Board suggested a sign be posted on number 1 and number 10. when chemicals
are used, this will also apply to Fairview.
