Jeff initiated discussion regarding re-establishing monthly
meeting schedule.
Motion by Dan Rowell:

Passed by unanimous vote.
Determined that in aksence of both Chairman and
Vice-Chairman, George Scott is to serve as Presiding
Officer.
. UPDATE FROM KEN WHEELER
Spring course preparation is on schedule and progressing to a
satisfactory degree. Credit due to maintaining a full crew
of eight--six of whom are returning ► staff.
Maintenance cost.increases, highlighted by 68/ for fuel and
accompanied by sizeable hikes in parts, fertilizer and other
necessary items tends to adequately justify the need for
recently authorized 5% increase in passes for 2008.
Ken reiterated that there will be a Marshall System in
operation during the coming season. His call for volunteers
to serve with possible compensation in the form of golf
passes, did not bring forth any interested individuals. His
planned alternative will be to hire people that will be paid
an hourly wage.

generally well accepted and adherence to the signing system
is progressing favorably. Player reminders and necessary
enforcement measures are planned for the future.
UPDATE FROM JOHN WATSON ,
John gave a capsule explanation regarding recent absence from
his course job and related meetings.
Provided an overview of the February-March golfing experience
at Purple Sage. It was realistically a rather sobering
report. That period outlook was necessarily dimmed. by the
weather and other uncontrollable factors--such as gasoline
 price and overall economic outlook.
The numbers for the aforementioned period are not reasonable
for comparison. We definitely need to strive for a better
turnout as spring progresses.
LENNIE STROUP UPDA
Lennie indicated that the Fairview experience was somewhat an
echo of that at Purple Sage.
On a positive note--Junior Golf is holding steady,
