REPORT FROM KEN WHEELER
Purple Sage in much better then expected for this time of year. Things are beginning to
grow but need some warm weather to take of£ Course should be in good shape for the
upcoming two man best ball tournament.
Operating crew this year consists of 3 guys. More will be added later if financing is
available. Fairview is cleaned up. Pine needle cleanup at Purple Sage will begin next
week by the work release program. 300 hours of work has been logged to date. Hours that
is greatly appreciated.
Three trees have been removed from west end of parking lot. Roots were causing
damage. The bushes in front of club house were removed to help control spiders and
cobwebs.
We have new solid colored flag sticks.
REPORT FROM JOHN WATSON
Year to date total is up slightly. Season pass sales and green fee play has been greatly
affected by the weather. Both course and pro shop is in good shape. We need warm
weather.
Norm Potter who had purchased his 2009 pass died March 8 John will take of this
refund.
The increase in tournament fees was discussed at length. There is a great deal of concern
from the local season pass holders. Proposal was made to El Jay that the following be
considered.
$10.00 non-season pass holders
$5.00 season pass holders
REPORT FROM LENNY STROUP
Year to date is up. February was a good month. Season passes are holding and total
sales of adult passes should exceed last year's sales. Weather again was a factor however
play is doing well.
High school golf teams and some small weekly groups have started play.
Bill Drumheller has had back surgery and can no longer play golf. He qualifies for a
75% refund. Lenny will handle it.
Something to think about:
We are in need of more cart storage at Fairview. Right now there is a waiting list of 6.
Several ways to achieve this addition to the south was discussed.
REPORT FROM ELJAY
We are about $100, 00.00 short on season passes. We need 400 at current prices.
Currently we have sold 230 passes, last year 380 were sold.
