Cooper told the board tnat the Mayor has re-appointed him to the
board or another four year term. It was the wish of the board that
Cooper remain as chairman
Cooper introduced Mr. Myron Tucker to the board. Tucker is a
golf course architect who has been hired by the city to draw a
preliminary plan for the proposed 18 hole course south of Purple Sage.
Mr. Tucker crould be qiven the floor to discuss his plans after the
board concluded it's regular agenda.
2) REPOIT FROM JOHN WAT30N
John gave a report on how the winter opening is going at Purple
5age. Because the weather has been fairly mild, play has been qood.
Purple Sage took in $7,898 in December. Approximately $1,500 of this
is green fees, the rest is season ticket sales. John said Fairview was
down about the amount of green fees that Purple Saqe took in. However,
the revenue for both courses combined is up slightly over last year.

Lenny agreed with John that the green fees were down a little
because of Purple Sage staying open this winter.
Lenny has been contacted by an advertising company that provides
free pencils for the courses, if they are allowed to print advertising
on them. The board would like Purple Sage and Fairview to also be
included in the advertising. Lenny said he would check and see if this
would be possible.
4j REPOFT FROM GORDY CROCKETT
Gordy said that the tile and carpet had been ordered for the
clubhouss and work should begin soon.
Cooper said he had received complaints about the restrooms out on
the cotrse. He asked Gordy to make it a priority to see that the
restrooms are up-graded. Cooper said that next years budget should
include some money to impzave the outdoor restrooms.
Gordy said the parking lot at Fairview would be paved this
spring.
NEW BUSINESS;
Cooper told Tucker that the floor was his.
T'ucker asked cooper of he had found out any info on El Paso
road. Cooper said he talked to Mr. Little who is head of the
highway district that El Paso road falls under. Mr. Little said
thet the road definitely will be put through but was unable to
give a date as too when this would be cione. He said they would
like it to go through to highway 44 eventually. He said it would
help if they could get some financial help from the City of
Caldwell and developers who wish to do projects in the area.
Cooper told Little that what we need ta know at the present time
was if the road was going through and where we could cross it to
give us access to our property on the east side of the road.
Tucker said that we need to get together with Bushnell and
see what ,re can aork out about crossing his property with two
fairways.
It was the concensus of the board members that the course
did no need to be extra long. A medium length with challenging
layout and sporty greens with interesting character is what would
be best.
Cooper said that if we cannot come to an agreement with
Bushnell we can start the course off of El Paso road and use a
starter shack. It just won't be as convenient as it would be if
we could cross Bushnells land.
A discussion was held on what the parking problems would be
with a second course.
ucker said he would be gone for two weeks in February and
after that he would be avaiZable to sit in on a meeting with
Bushnell. CQOper said he would try to set a meeting with
Bushnell in early March.
As there was no further business, the meeting was
adjourned.
