• CALDWELL TRAFFIC COMMISSION NIINUTE
JULY 16, 2002
ATTENDING: GORDON LAW, GARY MAygON, STEVE HASSON, BRUCE
ALLCOTT AND GARRET NANCOLAS.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. All items from the previous meeting had been accomplished.
2. Letter from James Runsvold about turning on 10�' Ave. revisited — no change
� in response from last meeting. Bruce will respond.
3• Parking at Lincoln school — Apparently the people have just moved to the
other side of the street and are still creating some concerns for neighbors and
the Mayor will visit with the School District.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Request by Caldwell Auto Supply to eliminate parking in front of their
business to allow freight trucks better access to their business. Discussed at
length about the parking issues in conjunction with the college and
maintaining emergency vehicle movement along Cleveland in that area.
Action: Gordon to send letter denying specific request but also indicating vve
will continue to work with the College to address concerns.
2. Request from Laura Gamboa to review parking at Logan and 10�'. Action:
Gordon will see that curbs are painted in the vision triangle for no pazking.
3. Request from G. Hochstrasser to remove plat requirement for temporary
• turnaround on Alder west of Georgia. Action: Members need to view the
location and see what the best solution is. Action: Hold for review and Steve
will have Debbie G. take photos of area for review.
4. Request from Fire Marshal for street signs on Muller and Florida. Action:
Already done.
5. Request from Fire Marshal for limiting parking on south side of Hannibal
from i Ave. to Kimball. Action: Approved posting signs for "no Parking"
on south side of Hannibal. Gordon to follow up on assigning.
6. Request for speed limit signs in Sunridge subdivision. Action: Gordon to
send standard letter on policy.
7. Request for Children at Play signs on N. 14` Ave. Action Gordon to send
standard policy letter.
8. Request for speed limit signs in Delaware park Subdivision. Action: Gordon
to send standard policy letter.
9. Request for "no pazking" sign in alley between 14 and 15` block of Arthur.
Action: Capt. Maybon to contact and let them know that it doesn't need to
be posted and that if it is blocked by parking they are to call CPD and they
will enforce the law.
10. Request to vacate part of Riverside Street by Simplot feeds. Action: Steve to
notify to deny as it is may be needed for emergency access for that area.
11. Request for signage on 10` Ave. cautioning motorist of golf course. Action:
Bruce to contact Councilperson Ozuna and ask her to bring this up with the
Golf Board to consider.
