Present: Chairman Gordon Law, Mayor Nancolas, Chief Mark Wendelsdort, Gian Paolo
Mammone and Frank Wyant
Old Business
1. Request to designate stop sign chan es on
Rholinda Bower submitted an e-mail requesting stop sign changes at Ustick and Montana
for safety reasons. The Street department investigated and found the following; stop signs at
Montana, Indiana & Florida are preceded by "stop ahead" signs and rumble strips.
Landscaping is not an issue. Gordon Law reviewed Accident history and found it to be within
normal parameters.
Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to take no action.
2. Traffic Signal warrant analysis of 16 Ave/ Cleveland Blvd..
The Engineering department staff preformed and reviewed a warrant analysis at the above
intersection. Findings revealed the intersection does not warrant a traffic signal.
New Business
1. Request for �°2 Hour Parking" sign on South Kimball.
. Traffic Commission received the above request from Ms. Ciria Almar�za. Other businesses
on Ms. Almanza's block su r �
also shares the block tying up ustomer pa king fop the majority of the day to d and that
unload their bakery goods. Mr. Mammone suggested additional "No loading or Unloading"
signage may be beneficial in the area. The Mayor suggested signs be placed as requested
and wait to see if that resolves the problem before placing additional signage.
The motion was made and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to place signs as
requested.

and send correspondence to Ms. Almanza.
2. Request standardization of school zone speed limit signs.
Officer Scott Crupper has suggested standardizing school zone speed limit signs. Gordon
Law has concem with schools on arterial streets being negatively affected, specifically
Jefferson and Wilson schools on 10 Ave,� After further discussion it was determined non-
arterial fronting schools should have consistent signage. The motion was made and the
Traffic Commission agreed unanimousl to lace consistent school zone speed limit signs at
K-8 grade schools. y p

This concluded the meeting and the meeting was adjourned.
The next Traffic Commission meeting is scheduled for May 2nd at 10:30 am
