Old Business
1. Proposed changes to Arthur St. traffic between 10 � 9` Avenues
Last month Traffic Commission reviewed a proposal by Mr. Dennie Cannon to change the
above section of Arthur St. to a one-way, flowing into the downtown area. The motion was
made and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to have Dennie "poll" surrounding
property owners and neighbors and report their input to the Traffic Commission. Mr. Cannon
reported all businesses were in favor of the project with the exception of one "no commenY'.
The motion was made and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to support a
recommendation to City Council of Mr. Dennie Cannons proposal.
New Business
1. Angle Parking at 423 Main Street
Tim King, City of Caldwell Engineering dept., submitted a formal request on behalf of Mr.
McDaniel for the approval of an angle parking area in front of the above business address.
The only concem during discussion was the width of the stalls being only 8%'.
The motion was made and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to approve the
parking_plan request with the contingency that stalls be 9' wide.

2. Request to Red curb the North side of Elm Street from Arlington to 10 Avenue.
Doug Brown of Caldwell Fire department is concemed by vehicles parking along both sides
of the 300 block of Elm Street making it difficult for 2 cars to pass in opposing directions and
impossible for fire department apparatus to get through. Doug Brown has requested red
curbing be painted on the North side of Elm Street from Arlington to 10 Avenue.
Traffic Commission feels this is a temporary situation arising from the new construction
currently underway at VWMC. Chief Sobba made the motion and Traffic Commission
agreed unanimousfy to send a verbal request to the construction company & WVMC for
people to voluntarily not park that area and have CPD enforce fire hydrant clearances.

3. Request for "Golfer Crossing" signage (this item not on the agenda but discussed)
Lenny Stroup, Fairview Golf Pro, requested signage on 10 & Logan designating a"Golfers
Crossing".
That intersection is currently a four-way stop with cross walks all around. It was decided
additional si�na�e not be beneficial however, crosswalks should be freshly painted
