New Business
1. Request to have Darigold milk trucks discouraged from blocking property access.
(Steven Gregory)
Mr. Gregory is selling a piece of property (Irrigator's Lumber site) on Albany. Mr. Gregory claims !.
Darigold drivers regularly leave unattended trucks parked in the middle of the street and bfock
driveway access to his property making it less attractive to potential buyers. Mr. Gregory
requests trucks be ticketed, 15 minute parking signs be installed around the block and property
taxes be lowered. Code Enforcement has previously addressed this issue at the request of the
Engineering department on behalf of Mr. Gregory. The determination of the Traffic Commission
was;
a. Send Code enforcement officer to ticket illegally parked vehicles;
b. Decline to install 15-minute parking limit signs; and
c. Decline to reduce property taxes because cities lack jurisdiction.
' ,;"t;,, .' Follow-up with Chelle Sperry of Code Enforcement
Note: Mr. Gregory called the Engineering department on the 10/03/06 following up on his
letter. Mr. Gregory spoke with both Tammy Frans and Chelle Sperry regarding this matter,
City's past efforts and City's future plans

2. Request to review speeding problems on Marble Front Road —(Lawrence Gaukel) \
Mr. Gaukel recently purchased a home on Marble Front road where the road narrows at the top
of the hill. The road is posted at 25mph however; according to Mr. Gaukel, traffic travels that
section of road at much higher rates of speed. No specific request for action was made. It was
noted the speed trailer has been placed there previously and funds are budgeted to address
some Marble Front issues.
i:Ir,, u: Provide written response to Mr. Gaukel.
3. Request "Stop" sign and paving on Dewey Street —(William Julians)
A section of Dewey street that connects Ray Street and Dewey street in the Stonegate
subdivision remains unpaved after initial development of the subdivision. Mr. Julian requests the
City pave the unpaved section and install a stop sign on Dewey, on the west side of Ray.
The determination of the Traffic Commission was as follows;
a. The location does not warrant a stop sign because no classified roads are involved,
no special geometric conditions exist, accident history does not suggest a safety
problem and traffic volumes are low.
b. The request for paving is noted and will be presented to Council in the next budget
cycle.
+",» Follow-up correspondence to Mr. Julian.
The next Traffic Commission meeting is scheduled for November 6th at 10:30 am
