Request for signage at both entrances of Falcon Ridge Subdivision (Timothy Engelhardt) Mr. Engelhardt requested "Slow Children at Play" or "Speed LimiY' signs be placed at the entrances of Falcon Ridge subdivision to reduce speeding. He also requested a"Dead End" sign at the corner of Hawk Avenue and Talon Court to deter unwanted traffic from their cul-de-sac. The determination of the Traffic Commission was to continue regular policy by sending a copy of the sign policy to Mr. Engelhardt and explaining that City procedure is for the subdivision to purchase signs for the City to install (noting the speed limit to be 20 mph) and that the subdivision is also responsible for obtaining written permission from the property owner where the sign will be placed. In addition, a motion was made and Traffic Commission unanimously agreed to have the City install a"Dead End" sign as requested. A second motion was made and also agreed on to have Engineering Design Review Phase include "Dead End" signage on all Cul-de-sacs. °` Convey Traffic Commissions responses to Mr. Engelhardt, ,, ° ,,,,,; \ '. (Daniel Freedman) Mr. Freedman (Owner) along with the on-site property manager for Ambassador RV Park, addressed the Traffic Commission regarding their above request. Persons parking along the above mentioned section of road are residents of Ambassador RV. Chief Wendelsdorf noted concern from the Fire Departments standpoint due to the fact that said section has only been paved and dedicated to the center line of the road and will remain so until development adjacent and westerly of the RV park is developed. Present situation can impede emergency vehicle accessibility to the RV park if vehicles (generally semi-trucks) are parked on both sides of the road. A motion was made and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to temporarily limit parking by implementing "No Parking" signs on the curbed/ dedicated side of the street from Highway 20/26, north to the end of Smeed. i `' ^ Provide written response to Mr. Freedman and follow up with Street Dept. to implement signage. 3.
