Old Business -
1. Request staggered Stop Lines at 24 & Blaine — Chief Sobba
There are finro left turning lanes from 24 Avenue onto Blaine Street. Chief Sobba was
approached by a concerned citizen suggesting the Stop Lines be staggered at the above
intersection to allow better vision for the inside turning lane.
Chairman Gordon requested the request be tabled until July so a site visit could be conducted.

New Business
2. Appeal 30" Dead End Sign — John Baglien
Mr. Baglien addressed the Traffic Commission in person to appeal Traffic Commissions decision
regarding the 30" Sign at his residence. After listening to Mr. Baglien's appeal, Traffic
Commission reiterated the decision was to not change the size of the sign but would allow
removal if Mr. Baglien obtained unanimous agreement and approval of the HOA and Cul-de-sac
- residents.
Mr. Baglien pointed out and requested follow-up regarding clarification of the MUTCD regulation
stating where a 30" sign has been placed and there is no thru intersection that a 2" smaller sign
should accompany it on the nearest street sign post.
A motion was made and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to request Gordon Reed to
• check the reading and interpretation of MUTCD rule regarding placement and size of Dead End
Signs to clarify City policy.

3. Request for Cross-walk at Leisure Village (Corey Nelson)
Mr. Nelson requested a cross-walk on North 9 mid-block between Belmont and Chicago
Streets. The crosswalk would connect Leisure Village apartments' to the complex's parking area.
A motion was made and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to decline the petitioners
request�for a mid-block crosswalk. A second motion was made to decline the petitioners request
for a 4-way stop and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously.
