New Business
1. Request to correct contradicting speed limit signs — Airport Road (Lt. Seevers)
Inconsistent speed limit signs are currently posted on Airport Way between Linden and Ustick
road.
Airport Road north of Linden is a considered a"Local" street ( with default 20 mph speed limit)
and south of Linden is considered a"Collector" street. A motion was made and the Traffic
Commission agreed unanimously to establish the speed limit on Airport Road as 25 mph south
of Linden and request the Street department install appropriate signage reflecting this decision.

2. Request for Vacation of Right-of-Way — Old Logan Street (Canyon Highway District)
Ken & Billie Jo Boyce along with Russell Conger requested from Canyon Highway District
vacation of a portion of R-O-W on "Old Logan" street and in exchange would provide roadway
were shown in the applicants Exhibit "B".
Because the vacation request is within one (1) mile of the Caldwell City Limits, it is subject to the
consent of the City Council and was therefore directed to start with the Traffic Commission for
review. This request has previously been before the Traffic Commission. Past research found
• there were encroachments in the R-O-W to be vacated.
A motion was made and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to recommend vacation of
the EasU West R-O-W to the point maintaining the existing North/ South R-O-W in exchange for
roadway to be provided as shown in the applicants Exhibit "B"

3. Request to post "Caution" signs at Linden � Aviation Way (EIJay)
The above request was submitted due to the canal at the above intersection interfering with
driver vision.
TC members are familiar with the intersection and a motion was made and the Traffic
Commission agreed unanimously to erect cautionary signage in accordance with MUTCD.

4. Request to paint addresses on Cleveland and Blaine curbing (EIJay)
A request was made to allow the painting of addresses on new curbing on Cleveland and Blaine
from 10` Avenue to 21 St Avenue. This would be done as an Eagle Scout Project.
Because the request is within the Caldwell Historical District, it is subject to the consent of the
Historical Preservation Society. A motion was made and the Traffic Commission agreed
unanimousl to refer this request to the Historical Preservation Society.
