1. Request "Speed Limit" signs on Airport Avenue. (JoAnne Southard)
Traffic Commission was notified by Ms. JoAnne Southard that there are no Speed Limit
signs on Airport Avenue between Cromwell Street and Ustick Road but there is increased
traffic and related speeding.
Usual policy for additional signage is for the cost of the signage to fall to the requestor/s.
However, Airport Avenue differs in the following ways;
• it is a classified street with regional impact
• it is a non-subdivision street
A motion was made to post speed limit signs on Airport Avenue, between Cromwell Street
and Ustick Road, at the expense of the City. The speed limit posted will be 25 mph and
signage will be posted in each direction at appropriate intervals per City policy. Traffic
Commission agreed unanimously for the motion

2. Request Approval of West Valley Medicals Helipad Traffic Control Plan. (Anne Marie
Skinner & John Barlow, West Valley Medical)
West Valley Medical (WVM) is requesting approval of a traffic-control plan that would be
implemented whenever the WVM helipad is in use. Traffic Commission approval needs to take
place before P&Z can issue a Certificate of Completion.
WVM traffic-control plan proposes halting traffic on Pine Street and Arlington Avenue whenever
the helipad is in use and designating the corner of Arlington Avenue and Pine Street a"red No
Parking Zone"
Traffic Commission determined there was insufficient detail to make a decision at this time. The
motion was made and the TC agreed unanimously to table the issue until further detail could be
obtained.
,.,. \,., , + `: Request a map and better detail of the "red No Parking Zone"
3. Request Parking limitations near West Valley Medical (John Blaisdell)
Mr. Blaisdell requests stronger parking regulations on sections of Elm Street and Fairview
Avenue near West Valley Medical Center. Currently there are red curbing and "No Parking"
signs on the North side of Elm Street. The area is congested and available parking limited.
The motion was made and the TC agreed unanimously to table the issue until site visits could be
conducted to gather information and a better understanding of the situation.
 ,,, 3 , ,` „; ."' Send correspondence to Mr. Blaisdell regarding the TC's
decision.
