1. Request Speed Limit Reduction to 35 mph on Linden Street between Cleveland Blvd
and KCID Road (Mark Pemble)
The above request was submitted to the Traffic Commission by Mark Pemble. The new
skate park on Smeed Parkway generates increased pedestrian traffic along Linden Street.
There are no sidewalks and the speed limit west of KCID road is currently 55 mph to
Aviation Way. Mr. Pemble is requesting the speed limit be lowered to 35 mph on Linden
Street west of KCID to better protect pedestrians making their way to the skate park.
The motion was made and the TC agreed unanimously to lower the speed limit as requested.
� �� Tammy Frans - Notify Mark Pemble of the TC's recommendation and request
the Street dept. place appropriate signage to support the recommendation.
The next Traffic Cornmission Meeting will be April 6, 2009 @ 10:30 in the Mayors :
