Request to paint 40 feet red curbing and "No Parking" signs at the intersection of 6tn & Cleveland. (Anne Marie Skinner) ** Members of the Traffic Commission were familiar with this corner and it was recommended that P&Z interview Business owners in the area regarding parking options. P&Z will then report back to the Traffic Commission for further discussion. E+ P� ��; �° �,Interview all Business Owners around the intersection to discuss Parking options. 2. Request to use the corner of 7� and Fillmore to the alley for parking. (Jon Frye) Jon Frye of Frye, Vauk & Stanwood CPAs requested permission to use the Public ROW in front of their office for Pocket Parking. Other businesses in the area have been allowed to used public ROW for same style parking i.e. Pennywise Drug. Traffic Commission discussed the area noting that it was on the fringe but technically outside of the Historical District's jurisdiction. The motion was made and Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to recommend allowing Mr. Frye and partners to modify the ROW for better parking as shown in their drawings. Parking implemented must be in accordance with City of Caldwell Specifications and City of Caldwell policy. `���`�` �'� - � Communicate the Commission's decision to Mr. Frye and forward � 1� � drawings to Engineering, Jared Hale 3. Request for "Crosswalk and Signage" on Griffith Parkway. (Doug Brown) ** A request was submitted to the Traffic Commission by Doug Brown of CFD for installation of crosswalks and signage at Griffith Parkway. The concern of the Traffic Commission is that data shows that installing cross-walks at uncontrolled intersections creates a sense of false safety in pedestrians. Traffic Commission chose to have the Engineering and the P&Z department's further review the area for alternative crosswalk locations and/ or solutions. ���� � Identify persons from the Engineering department and the P&Z department to perform a site visit and return their recommendations to the Traffic Commission. 4. Request to remove "Curve° sign on South Georgia. (Doug Brown) A request was submitted to the Traffic Commission by Doug Brown of CFD for removal of an unnecessary "Curve" sign that remains after Georgia Avenue was extended. The motion was made and Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to request the Street department remove the sign.
