1. Request redesign of the intersection at 13 Street & Fillmore Avenue (Dr. Royce Wright)
Apri/ 4-Dr. Wright requests the intersection at 13 Street & Fillmore Avenue be redesigned from the current
"Y" configuration into a standard T-intersection. A T intersection could be created by extending the existing
sidewalk to remove the curved section of roadway on 13 The paved area could be left and converted into
parking for the Oasis Worship & Food Center. TC suggests asking the church to participate in the cost if
existing pavement is conve►ted into parfcing since they would be the ones to benefit from the change. A
motion was made and the Trac Commission agreed unanimously to have Robb wo►1c with Dr. Wright on
parking options orjust closing off the street.
May 2— Robb presented a conceptual drawing prepared by the Engineering department. The
drawing represents a relatively easy and cost efficient solution for the intersection above. After
review by the TC it was agreed the concept was good but for enhanced safety and traffic flow it
was suggested the parking orientation be reversed and the drawing be reviewed again at the
June TC meeting.

1. Request "No Parking Zone" at shepherd and Illinois (Brent)
The intersection of Illinois avenue and Sheppard Street is narrow. When cars are parked curbside
it is very tight for drivers to see and to maneuver the turn. It was requested this intersection be
made a "no Parking" area.
A motion was made and the Traffic Commission agreed unanimously to recommend placing "No
Parking" signs on the East side of Illinois and the North side of Sheppard at the above
intersection. Along with the above signage it is suggested the curbing also be painted to indicate
no parking at the intersection.
