•
1. Minutes of February 22, 2005 Airport Commission Meeting: Item tabled due to
lack of quorum.
2. Airport Zoning Ordinance: Bob reported that in 2003, the commission decided to
change the airport's current M-1 zoning to AP zoning. A tentative ordinance was
written up, shelved for a time, and is now being revisited. Bob McGee handed
out a list of possible airport land uses to each of the commissioners and Curt
suggested each person take it home and come up with their own list of appropriate
land uses for the new airport zoning. For example, parachute jumping has to be
under "Permitted Land Uses" not "Special Permit". Aerial photo operations also
need to be permitted.
Mack said that the FAA has final approval on businesses permitted.
The changes will also need both Gordon Law's approval and the new Community
Development Director's approval. Bob and Curt will get the approvals.
3. Update of FY OS AIP: Tom Lemenager gave updates of the pavement and seal
coating areas of the airport and pointed out the areas on the map. The seal coating
will be done in two phases and is going out to bid again in approximately six weeks.
He also pointed out where the new taxiways will be with 50' and 60' hangars on
either side of the taxiway.

. The survey and the geotechnical testing finished. The
still not signed but Toothman- prton is going ahead becau e t e FAA bids and
awards will be done by June and th e y nee d to rea dy.
There is a well in the way of one taxiway that needs to be concreted. Mack asked
if there is any way to leave the well and divert the water elsewhere so that the
airport is not pressed for water. Tom said no, that is not permitted.
Bob asked if there are any updates on the environmental assessment. Nothing can
be done until the contract is signed.
4. Airport Appreciation Day: No updates. We still need a chairman.
5. Hangar — Certificate of Insurance: A letter will be mailed to each person that the
Manager's Office shows does not have current insurance on file. A note wiil be
included that says that we may not have the insurance on file in the office
because they might have been mailed to City Hall, not to the airport. We 11
also include a line in the upcoming newsletter to remind people to send us current
insurance.
6. Spring clean-up around hangars: There will be a note in the upcoming newsletter
to ask folks to please use the spring weather as a good time to clean up around
• their hangars.
Mack asked if anything could be done about the ruts at the ends of the hangars.
Does the city have the equipment to fix it?
Wayne asked for an update on Gate 4. The sub-lessor disconnected the power to
the gate because it was attached to his power box and he was paying for the
electricity to run it. Toothman — Qrtman is diverting the power to another source
to fix the problem.
April and May Caldwell Industrial Airport Commission meetings will be moved
to the 2" week of each month due to scheduling conflicts. They new dates are
April 14' and May 12t at noon.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:50 PM.
