HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-12-2005 AIRPORT MINUTES • MINUTES Caldwell Industrial Airport Commission 4601-4 Aviation Way Caldwell, ID 83605 May 12, 2005 Commission Members Present: Bob McGee, Mack Kreizenbeck, Phil Fouts, Wayne Thiel, Mike Reed, Airport Manager — Curt Hawkins, Josephine Masar- City Staff Commission Members Absent: Dean Dishman, Scotty Crandlemire, Randy Rudeen, City Council Liaison Rob Oates Guests: Tom Lemenager, Jim and Anita Shore Chairman Bob McGee called the meeting to order at 12:05 PM. • 1. Minutes of April 2005 minutes approved w/ changes. 2. Airport Zoning Ordinance: A rough draft with some changes was made to the current ordinance. The approved changes included such things as ag ops and parachute jumping. Curt will bring a copy of the proposed changes to City Attorney Mark Hilty for final approval. 3. Update of FY OS AIP: Tom Lemenager stated that the design of the AIP is very close to completion. The tentative dates for bid opening advertising are May 20 May 27 and June 3. The bidding will be complete by June 21 and the job awarded by the beginning of July. 4. Hangar — Certificate of Insurance. Joey reported that 2/3 of the insurance binders are updated now and more are coming in every day. 5. Idaho Airport Managers Association (IAMA) meeting in Sun Valley on May Stn: Curt reported that the meeting was a huge success. He was re-elected President of the Association. Toothman-Orton was the largest sponsor. The numbers in attendance were up, as were the number of display booths. It will be even better next year! • t � � a • 6. Fall Tri-State Conference in Coeur d' Alene October 5— 7, 2005: Washington, Oregon and Idaho are all combining for the conference. Most of the combined airport managers from the area are coming to attend. 7. Flooding of airport and hangars: The flooding was due to debris in clogged drains during our heavy rains this month. If we build a debris catch, we should have no problem in the future. Curt said they would blow out the culverts to see if that will help in the meantime. 8.
