CALDWELL AIRPORT COMMIS�ION
NOVEMBER 2, 1989
Present: Marty Koch, Esther Stoddard, Mack Rreizenbsck, Bob
McGee, R.J. Ring, Sandy Staight, Bud K2hne, Jerry �lson and
Kathie Green.
Meeting was called to ord2r by Niarty Koch. The Commission
decided to wait to approve th2 Octoher minutes at the next
meeting becaus2 r�o cr,� had r�czived them.
A letter from the City was sent to Shar2 & uhore. It
stated the City wculd asphalt the acczss t� tr�e property
line. They will additionally pave up to $7,500 but would
have to be reimbursed by the end of the ci�y's �iscal year.
The Campbell praperty was auctioned at the City Council
meeting. Th� r�cus� was so13 fcr $17,000 and will be moved
within 6 months and the storage tank for the price to move
it. No bid was accepted for the metal sr�op buildir�g. The
council will postpon2 th2 sale until th� next meeting ar�d
will be accepting praposals urtil that time. Th2 cour�cil
accepted the bid on the barn & corrals.
Idaho Pawer has alrea�y been paid to lower th2 pcwerlines.
Marty stated h2 had spok� to Teri Brandt on thz possibility
of conflict of intzrest on th� pro�osal of Mack
Kreizenbeck's lease. Esther Stoddard moved to rzvote an
the propasal fcr Mack Kr2iz�nheck to leas� property from
the airport to build a hanger with a 40 year lease with
option to rer�ew & renegotiat�. Bob McGee seconded th�
motion. Mack Kreizenbeck abstained from voting. Mctian
carried.
Jerry Olsan reported AWAS is being put in. Cammissioning
date is planned in January. He also explain�d what AW�S
does and how i� operat2s.
Rose Wilson from Avid pr2sented their proposal for a
fiberglass shop on th2ir leaszd land. Th2 buildir�g wauld
be 40' x 50'. She said they would have to design it sa it
would meet the City Building Code. Tr,�y would also nzed to
get financing of their own. Construction time would not
start before spring. Mack ICreizenbeck moved that the
Commissian work with Avid to heZp them. Bob McGee secor�d2d
this motion. Iyiotion did not carry due to lack of votes.
Marty stated the Commission needs to get more infarmation
on the project. He askzd Jerry Olson to check on the city
code to see what the regulations would be to build a
fiberglass shop.

Jerry Olson reported that proposals for two radio towers
have bzen turned docan because they di� not me2t Planning
and Zoning qualifications, as they are both to higr,. He
also reperted Darwin McKay has rented more lar�d in the area
of the Airport to plant grass.
Jerry said �e had sent l�tt�rs to all busir�esses at tr.e
Airport and had received one response to lease the building
involved with the Ag operation clean-up cn th2 area by the
building L22 Rice would 2ike to rent tr,e building until
his is built. Est��r Stc�dard rnoved and I�ack Kreizenbeck
seconded to Iease the building to L�e Rice for 6 months
with a passibl2 hold over at that time an a manthly basis.

Marty asked th2 Commission who they would like to nominate
as Airport Cammissioners. Paul Collins term expired April '
1989 and Esther Stoddard's will expir� in March 1990.
According to the By-Laws the Commissian ;r,ay r2commend who
they wouZd like on the commission to the Mayor. The Mayor
appoints tr.� Ccmmissicners with agpraval fr�m the City
Council. Esther Stoddard moved to tabl� nominations until
the next meeting. Mack KreizEnbeck seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
Esther Stoddard moved tc adjourn. Mation carried.
