AIRPORT COMMISSION
June 6, 1991
12:00 Noon
Present: Marty Koch, Chairman; Dean Dishman, Bob McGee, Jack
Pearson, Dr. Robert Ring.
The meeting was called to order by Marty Koch at 12:05 p.m.
The minutes of the May 2nd meeting were approved.
George Crow, of Flite Quest Aviation, will be taking over
the Flight School at the Caldwell Airport. He briefed the
Commission on his background and his plans for the Caldwell
Airport branch of Flite Quest. The Commission gave approval for
Mr. Crow to sublease facilities from Avjet Aviation to utilize
for his Flight School and aircraft.
The Commission discussed the cancellation of the 1991 Air-A-
' Fair. They feel this event is important to the Airport and will
invite a member of the Air-A-Fair committee to the next meeting
to discuss what is needed to continue this event in the future.
The Airport Manager reported on the following:
1. A letter from the Bureau of Aeronautics discussing the
possibility of approximately $10,000.00 in grant money to be
applied to this summer's Airport Improvement Project. This is
dependent upon revenues being adequate to allow full funding of
the State's budgeted amount.
� 2. The Police have apprehended some of the people involved
, in vandalizing the lights on the Airport. Thanks to Jim Rader
for his vigilance and assistance in this matter.
3. The trees have been felled on the Moore property. The
house and shop will be advertised starting July 1, 1991, and
auctioned July 15, 1991. The displaced threshold on runway 30
will be moved back in conjunction with the Airport Project this
summer.
4. The status of leases previously approved by the
Commission and still pending was reviewed.
5. A tentative agreement has been reached with the State on
i cleaning up the former Precision Flight site. The City is
'y waiting for a written memo of understanding prior to beginning
the clean up.
The Commission approved the leasing of additional tie down
spots to Shore and Shore Aviation pursuant to an agreement
between the City and the Shores. These spots would be located
between the Shore's northeast property line and the taxiway.
Published restrictions on the proximity of objects to the taxiway
centerline are to be complied with.

, The Commission discussed loaning the old UNICOM to Wilder
A.F.S. Marty Koch will follow up on this to see if Wilder is
interested.
��' Dr. Roy McLaughl in has been appointed to the Commission by
" the Mayor to complete Dr. Paul Collin's term.
The meeting adjourned at 12:55 p.m.
