AIRPORT COMMISSION
August 1, 1991
Present: Marty Koch, Chairman; Dean Dishman, Budd Kehne, Bob
McGee, Jack Raymond, and Dr. Robert Ring.
The Meeting was called to order by Marty Koch at 12:05 p.m.
The minutes of the July 11, 1991, meeting were approved.
The Airport Manager reviewed the proposed Airport Budget for
1991-92. He also reported that sealed bids on the Moore house
and shop will be opened at the City Council Meeting on August 5,
1991.
The Airport Improvement Project for 1991 will begin on
August 5th. Airport users are advised to exercise caution in the
vicinity of construction. Any comments or questions on the
construction should go to the Airport Manager who will then
coordinate with the appropriate people.
The Commission discussed the future development of the
Airport and priorities for future projects. They felt that
expansion of the terminal facility should be a priority item and
an architect should be consulted to determine how this could be
done.
The Commission also felt that the area to the northwest of
the terminal should be developed with some commercial lots as
well as private hangar areas. They recommended a change in the
Master Plan to reflect this.
The development of the north east side of the Airport and
the need for a Ustick Interchange were also discussed.
The Meeting adjourned at 12:55 p.m.
